Campsis radicans (L.) Seem. which showed anti-coagulation activities, is indigenousto China. The plant is used for the treatment of abnormal menstruation, dysmenorrheal. Inorder to find active agents from it, the study on its chemical constituents was carried out.First, to investigate the anti-coagulation activities effect on flower of Campsisradicans (L.) Seem. Coagulation time (CT) in vivo was tested by capillary method.Bleeding time (BT) was determined by cutting-tail method.Tested the pulmonaryembolism time (PET). Activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), thrombin time (TT),prothrombin time (PT) and plasma recalcification time (PRT) were evaluated by test tubemethod in mice. Results show that the bleeding and coagulation time was prolonged andthe pulmonary embolism time (PET) was cut short which had dose-dependent with thegroup of70%ethanol extract. In the five different extract, the water extract was not onlyprolonging the BT and CT, but also prolonging the PT, TT and PRT, petroleum etherextraction can be prolonging the PT, TT, the water extract has most strength of activity.Polysaccharide extract was not only prolonging the BT and CT, but also prolonging theAPPT and PT.By means of silica gel column, ODS, Sephadex LH-20gel column, recrystallization,PR-HPLC and so on.27compounds were isolated from the70%ethanol extract from theflower of Campsis radicans (L.) Seem. Their structures were identified by theirphysicochemical characteristics and detailed spectroscopic analysis. The26compoundswere identified as uvqol (1),3β-hydroxy-18,19α-urs-20-en-28-oic acid (2), ursolic acid (3),oleanolic acid (4),19α-hydroxy-ursolic acid (5), hederagenin (6), maslinic acid (7),corosolic acid (8), tormentic acid (9), euscaphic acid (10), rotundic acid (11),arjunglucosideⅡ (12), apigenin (13), chrysoeriol (14), rhamnocitrin (15), luteolin (16), quercetin (17), trans-phydroxy cinamic acid (18), caffeic acid (19), n-hexadecanoic acid(20), n-nonadecanoic acid (21), β-sitosterol (22), daucosterol (23),3-hydroxy-4-methoxy-benzoic acid (24), rengyolone (25),(3αR)-hexahydro-3α-hydroxybenzo-furan-6(2H)-one (26). Compounds1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,14,15,17,18,19,20,21,24,25,26were isolated from the plant of Campsis radicans (L.) Seem. Compounds1,2,5,10,11,12,14,15,18,19,20,21,24,26were isolated from the Campsis for the first time. The methanol extract was through the UPLC-MS for its chemical compositionanalysis, the reference substances are rotundic acid, euscaphic acid, tormentic acid, hederagenin, maslinic acid, corosolic acid,19α-hydroxy-ursolic acid, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, uvqol.20compounds were identified by their retention time and the date ofmass.3-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-erythrodiol,3-hydroxyolean-12-en-28-O-β-D-glucopyran-oside,6-β-hydroxymaslinic acid,2α,3α,19α,23-tetraydroxy-urs-12-en-28-oic acid were notreported from the Campsis.
