ObjectiveThis research mainly through the empirical research to verify Denison organizationalculture theory in the field of nursing the feasibility of the application,and measure ofnursing culture construction situation. All of this will provide the manager a basictheoretical framework in the process of solving the problems which exist in thenursing culture.Methods and SubjectsThe method of Case Studies and Model Application which are exist in EmpiricalStudy are used in the study. The subjects of the study are nurses who come fromQinghai province people’s hospital in Qinghai province. The questionnaire, whichcombines the depth interviews that are between hospital manager,nurses is used forthe current situation of the construction of nursing culture.Then the data is describedby SPSS17.0.Results1、Theaverage score of the nursing culture is48.13. And the traits that from highscore to low score are: participatory,mission,adaptability, and consistency.2、Inthe participatory trait: team orientation dimension scores highest,4.50points;Ability development dimension scored lowest, at3.99points.3、Inthe aspects of consistency trait: core values dimension scores highest,4.08points; Coordination and integration of dimension scored lowest,3.35points.4、Interms of adaptive trait: organizational learning dimension scores highest,4.08points; Customer first dimension scored lowest,3.76points.5、Inmission trait: strategic orientation dimension scores highest,4.08points;Vision and goals for the dimension scores times, averaging4.05points. 6、Authorized dimensions: in different degree of nursing cultural constructiondifference is statistically significant.7、In the dimension of the core values: different position of nursing culturalconstruction difference is statistically significant.8、 In different titles of nursing cultural construction with dimensions: difference isstatistically significant.9、Nursing cultural construction on patient dimensions: different position differenceis statistically significant.10、 Strategic orientation dimension: different working years, job title, position ofnursing cultural construction difference is statistically significant.11、 Target dimensions: different position of nursing cultural constructiondifference is statistically significant.Conclusions1、There are differences among these traits, but the overall construction issuccessful.2、In11of the12dimensions all showed a higher level, only lack of coordinationand integration of the dimensions slightly.3、Top scores on the participatory of the hospital nursing culture, consistency scoredlowest.4、Internal focus scored higher than the outside attention.5、Flexibility scored higher than stability.6、Different demographic of nursing cultural construction difference is statisticallysignificant.7、Denison organizational culture theory applied to the construction of nursingculture, can help nursing managers find the advantage and shortage of nursingcultural construction situation.
