ObjectiveTo analyze the effect ofsequential therapy regimen of UCB-SCs transplantation and TIPS the umbilical cord blood stem cell transplantation in treatment of patients with decompensated cirrhosis.Methods22patients with decompensated liver cirrhosisand serious esophageal varices, including2cases with Child-Pugh grade B,20cases with Child-Pugh grade C.11patients were treated with transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) first, and then they were transplanted with human umbilical cord blood stem cells (UCB-SCs) within3-21days. The other11cases received UCB-SCs transplantation2-3months earlier before TIPS treatment.Special treatments wereHGF intravenous drip180mg for14days, growth hormone4u subcutaneous injection for14days after UCB-SCs transplantation. Finally the routine tests, three-dimensional CT for portal vein, B ultrasound, endoscope were done24weeks afterthe sequential therapy regimen, to judge the effect.ResultsThe follow-up data of the24th week showed that prealbumin, albumin levels, flow rate of portal vein were significantly improved and the inner diameter of portal vein, total bilirubin level were significantly reduced, blood ammonia, ALT,AST levels had nosignificant difference after the sequential therapy regimen. ConclusionsThe sequential therapy regimen of UCB-SCs transplantation and TIPS for treatment of hepatic cirrhosiscan greatly improve thehepatic function, and reduce side effects of both. So it is of high value in use.
