ObjectiveThis observation aims to evaluate the effect of TCM dialecticaltreatment on chronic hepatitis B, and to discuss its role inpreventing the progression of chronic hepatitis B.MethodWe will choice62CHB cases involved from hospitalization andoutpatient service to study.①the own control study of the ALT<2ULN patients. In this group7male cases,5female casescontain, and all of the12patients will be treated dialecticallyby TCM for half an year. We want to observe the changes of TCMsyndrome integral, liver function, HBV DNA after half an year, andto evaluate the effects about the TCM dialecticall treatment ofhepatitis B.②The prospectie cohort study of the ALT≥2ULNpatients.50patients will be sparated into the treatmentgroup(n=23) and the control group (n=27).the treatment group weregiven TCM dialectical treatment based on based on the traditionalChinese medicine diagnosis and treatment options of ganzhuo, whilethe control group were studied by using antiviral drugs (interferonor nucleoside drugs). We want to observe the clinical syndrome integral of TCM, liver function, the rate of ALT back to normal andHBV DNA changes after three months and half a year, and then toevaluate the effects of the treatment.ResultsThe results of the ALT<2ULN patient in own control group:After12patients were treated for6months, we have found thefollowing results:①clinical syndrome integral of the TCM havereduced significantly before and after therapy, P<0.01;②thechanges of liver function were significantly decreased beforeand after treatment of TCM, P<0.01;③inhibition of HBV DNA copywas observed, P<0.05.The results of the ALT≥2ULN patients in prospectie cohortstudy:①when two groups were treated for3months and6monthsrespectively,clinical symptoms of two groups were improved thanbefore therapy, the treatment group is better than the control group,P<0.01;②liver function of two groups after treated for half ayear has restored, and comparison with two groups, P>0.05, wehave found that both of hantiviral drugs and herbal medicine couldimprove liver function for the patients who were infected withHBV.③when two groups were treated for3months,the rate of ALT backto normal for the treatment group was56.5%(13/23), while thecontrol group was59.2%(16/27),compared with two groups we couldfound no statistical significance P>0.05, but after sixmonths,as for the rate of ALT back to normal, the treatment groupwas87.5%(20/23), the control group was63.0%(17/27). Thoughtthe computation, the difference Was significant P=0.000, thetreatment group is better than the control group;④in the aspectof HBV DNA replication,23cases in the treatment group have3(13%) cases back to normal after3months, and7(30.4%) cases in6monthslater,while15(55.6%)cases who were involved in the controlgroup(n=27) were back to normal after3months, and the numberbecame20cases (74.1%)after treated for6moths.obviously,thecontrol group were better than the treatment group,P<0.01.ConclusionThese study indicated that herbal medicine could improvesymptoms and reduce transaminase, and have certain antiviraleffects on the patients of chronic hepatitis b.The traditionalChinese medicine diagnosis and treatment options of ganzhuo hasclinical significance and application value.
