BackgroundThyroxine thyroid gland secretion of thyroid hormone function to regulate the body’s basal metabolism plays a very important role along with the rising of living standards, people’s health problems are more seriously in the patients with thyroid disease is increasing year by year the thyroid nodule is the most common thyroid diseases in the thyroid nodule, benign tumor or nodular hyperplasia accounted for most. Increasing inspection technology, provides a technical support which found that thyroid cancer, thyroid papillary carcinoma in thyroid tumors in the majority for most benign thyroid nodules, and regular follow-up; While the vast majority of thyroid surgical operation in treating malignant nodules need the differential diagnosis of thyroid nodule is aimed at:exclude malignant thyroid nodules, and found in order to provide strong help for clinical treatment. So, in guiding the treatment of thyroid nodule is plays a critical role in accurately determining the nature of the thyroid nodule of thyroid nodule diagnosis needs to be detailed and comprehensive medical history collection and accurate physical examination, combined with necessary auxiliary examinations, can significantly improve the accuracy of differential diagnosis of benign versus malignant thyroid nodule, to active treatment, improve the life quality and survival rate.ObjectiveBy analyzing the clinical data of patients with thyroid nodule ultrasound examination, serum TSH concentrations and pathological findings in order to improve the recognition of to differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodule.Subjects and MethodsCollected in January2010to September2012in the second affiliated hospital of zhengzhou university general surgery for thyroid nodule ultrasound clinical data of hospitalized patients with surgical treatment results of serum TSH concentrations and pathological examination results, analysis of the characteristics of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.Results(1) In451cases,361patients with benign thyroid nodules, follicular adenoma including156cases (34.59%),147cases of nodular goiter (32.59%), acidophilic neoplasia in38cases (8.43%), chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis in16cases (3.55%), fetal type4cases were adenoma (0.89%);90patients with malignant thyroid nodules, thyroid papillary carcinoma in69cases (15.30%),14cases of thyroid follicular carcinoma (3.10%),4cases of medullary thyroid carcinoma (0.89%), anaplastic thyroid carcinoma3cases (0.66%), the ratio of the benign and malignant thyroid nodule was4.01:1.(2) Men and women of the ratio of1:3.29, malignant nodule percentage was18.10%in men and women in malignant nodule percentage is20.52%, gender difference has no statistical significance (x2=0.297, P=0.586).(3)As the growth of the age, the malignant thyroid nodule rates decline gradually age20patients of malignant thyroid nodule, the highest rate of50.00%, aged>60patients of malignant thyroid nodule rate is the lowest, at14.68%, the difference between different age groups was statistically significant (x2=17.562, df=3, P<0.05).(4) Thyroid nodule in thyroid isthmus, comparison of the left lobe on the right side of the leaf, there was no statistically significant difference between the three groups (x2=0.812, df=2, P=0.689).(5) Thyroid nodule, single-shot than malignant change happens easily, difference have statistical significance (x2=30.267, df=1, P<0.05).(6) With nodules in ultrasound elasticity score compared patients with3points below, ultrasonic imaging elasticity score in3points and malignant nodules rate significantly increased more than three points (x2=146.001,df=3, P<0.05).(7)In differentiated thyroid carcinoma, thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) concentrations in the serum of different comparison, the difference was statistically significant (x2=21.945, df=3, P<0.05).Conclusions (1) Most thyroid nodules are benign nodules in the see, with the improvement of inspection techniques, malignant thyroid nodules were also found, which for most of the thyroid papillary carcinoma.(2) Women is seen in patients with thyroid nodules.(3) In patients with thyroid nodules, the age is light person the malignant rate is significantly higher than the elderly patients.(4) Of benign and malignant nodules and the position of thyroid nodules of no relevance.(5) Thyroid nodule, single nodule evil degeneration is higher, tip:for single nodule in the clinical work more careful differential diagnosis.(6) Ultrasonic imaging elasticity score is greater than or equal to3points of its rate of malignant thyroid nodule increased significantly.(7) In patients with thyroid nodules, nodules of malignant rate increased with the increase of the serum TSH concentrations...
