Abstract/Summary:
Objective:To investigate the relationship between susceptibility to cervical squamous cell carcinoma and polymorphisms of MTHFR(methylenetetrahydrofolate),DNA repair enzyme gene XRCC3(X-ray repair cross complementing group3) in Gansu population.Methods:The polymerase chain reaction and restriction fragment length polymorphisms (PCR-RFLP)was use to detect the susceptibility of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and polymorphisms of MTHFR-C677T and XRCC3-Thr241Met in100patients and the same period100case age-matched healthy individuals were used as controls.Results:MTHFR-C677T genotypes in case and control (X2=9.83,P<0.05)and allele(X2=9.00,P<0.05)frequency distribution of the differences were statistically significant.The individuals who carried C-allele make the cervical squamous cell carcinoma happen risk increased1.36times(OR=1.3571, P<0.05). XRCC3-Thr241Met genotype (X2=7.23, P<0.05) and allele type (X2=9.89, P<0.05) distribution frequency in the case group and the control group differences are also statistically significant. Carry XRCC3allele C is cervical squamous cell cancer happen risk factors,(OR=1.261, P<0.05).Conclusion:1, MTHFR gene C677T polymorphism increased cervical squamous cell cancer susceptibility.2, XRCC3Thr241Met gene polymorphism and cervical squamous cell cancer occurs with correlation, allele C can increase individual suffering from cervical squamous cell cancer risk.
