Objective Using multislice spiral CT (MSCT) to measure diameter and area of cardiopulmonary artery lumen of the healthy adults in Lanzhou, in order to constitute the normal standard of cardiopulmonary vascular diameter and size of normal adult in Lanzhou, and the measured data of the healthy people is compared with the other’s data reported in the previous bibliography.Methods Three hundred Lanzhou adults with no cardiopulmonary disease, were divided into3groups according to their age (A group:18-39y,B group:40-60y, C group61-80y), with100case in each group (50cases for each gender). Images were taken at the end of deep inspiration phase and measurements were done on3D reconstruction image with precise landmarks. All the results were statistically analyzed.Results The measurement of diameter and area of main pulmonary artery.lelt pulmonary artery. right pulmonary artery, ascending aorta and descending aorta has shown that there was significant difference in different age group (P<0.05). In group B and C.,there was significant difference between different genders group in main pulmonary artery, left pulmonary artery and right pulmonary(P<0.05).Conclusion Better imaging standard is provided for Lanzhou adult in early diagnosis of cardiopulmonary disease. The result of healthy adults of Lanzhou city in diameter and dimension’s inearsurement of main pulmonary artery,left pulmonary artery and right pulmonary artery is different from the other region’s.It may be connected with the geographical environment and the state of air pollution in Lanzhou.
