Clinical Significance Of Carbon Nanoparticles Labeled Lymph Node In Curative Resection For Colorectal Carcinoma

Objective To explore the significance of clinical application of carbonnanoparticles labeled lymph node in curative resection for the colorectalcarcinoma.Methods With retrospective research, carbon nanoparticles wereinjected into the periphery of t he tumor in50patients before or during theoperation, and50patients were as control without any injection duringoperation. The number of lymph nodes (dyed or not dyed) and the location ofmetastatic nodes were recorded separately.Results (1) In the labelling group, the average number of dyed lymphnodes (12.6,) is significantly more than that of the control group (8.1,)(P<0.05).(2) The metastasis rate of dyed lymph nodes in labelling groupwas higher than that in the control group (33.46%vs.24.4%, P<0.05),especially significant in <4mm nodes (P<0.05).Conclusion The technique of carbon nanoparticles labeled lymph nodesis easy and effective. Help the operation of doctors determine whether thelymph node metastasis. And it can increase the detectable rate of lymphnodes for Pathologist, achieve the accurate pathological stage.
