Objective: to classify and evaluate variant hepatic arterial anatomy by anew method with a combination of DSA and spiral CT.Methods: data of530patients’ CT and DSA were retrospectivelyanalyzed. Hepatic artery was divided into three parts, they areAA-CA-SMA part, CHA-PHA part, LHA-MHA-RHA part respectively.Types and rates of hepatic arterial variant in every part were analyzed bythree-part classification. Results: In a total of530patients,224(42.3%)had hepatic arterialvariants,77(14.5%)had complicated variants.106(20.0%)patients hadvariants in AA-CA-SMA part, which were divided into10types:MichelsⅡ-Ⅹand CHA arising from SMA combined with acLHA from LGA.71patients (13.4%)had variants in CHA-PHA part, which were dividedinto5types: absent of PHA,LHA arising from CHA,RHA arising fromCHA,MHA arising from CHA and acRHA arising from GDA.124patientshad variants in LHA-MHA-RHA part, divided into5types,which areabsent of MHA,MHA arising from CYA,2RHA and2LHA。Conclusion:Variants of hepatic arterial anatomy are complicated.Typesof variants can be summarized excellently by method of three-partclassification. By taking advantages of DSA and spiral CT, variants of hepatic artery can be well analyzed.
