Part I: In Vitro Cytotoxicity of nano fluorine-containing high-strength resin onL929CellsAIM: Through in vitro experimental method, detect cytotoxicity of a new typeof dental filling materials-nano fluorine-containing high-strength resin.MATERIALS AND METHODS: The fluorine content of nano-fluorine-containing high-strength resin is formulated into impregnating solution,By using(MTT)colorimetric assay, viability of L929cells monitored. After adding up eachgroup in the OD570, the toxicity grading of each concentration calculated.RESULTS: There are obvious differences between the concentration of eachsample with the control group(P<0.01). The results are statistically significant. Inaddition to the5%fluorine content of nano-fluorine-containing high-strength resin,OD has a significant difference between the concentration of the other experimentalgroups. The RGR of nano fluorine-containing resin and Fuji IX gradually increaseswith the dilution of the impregnating solution. The experimental group show slighttoxicity.CONCLUSIONS: Nano fluorinated high strength resin is slightly toxic and thetoxicity gradually decreases with decreasing concentrations, It has goodbiocompatibility and can be directly applied to the treatment of clinical filling.Part Ⅱ:The study of fluoride release of nano fluorine-containinghigh-strength resinAIM: By in vitro experiments, to measure fluoride release of Nanofluorine-containing high-strength resin in deionized water.MATERIALS AND METHODS: The fluorine content of Nano-fluorine-containing high-strength resin is formulated into impregnating solution. Fluoriderelease of two materials are measured by fluorine ion-selective electrodes in deionizedwater, during the entire30-day experimental period.RESULTS: The highest fluoride release from fluorine-containing resin and FujiIX was observed in first day after immersion. Then, the level of fluoride ion releasedfrom the sealants decreased rapidly. and invariable release of fluoride was observed between15to30days. Fluoride released from was higher than that fromNano-fluorine-containing high-strength resin in each period of time(P<0.05).CONCLUSIONS: The fluorine-containing resin and GIC can be sustained in acertain period of time to release fluoride ions, and have a role of anticariogenic.
