Objective: To explore the clinical value of tricuspid annular displacement(TAD) measured by tissue motion annual displacement (TMAD) techniquecombined with color kinesis (CK) in patients with atrial septal defect (ASD).Methods: Thirty patients with ASD enrolled as patient group weremeasured preoperatively (labeled as A group), a month after operation (labeledas B group) and three months after operation (labeled as C group); and thirtynormal individuals were enrolled as controlled group (labeled as N group). Theratio between the RV and LV (LV/RV), the inner diameter of main pulmonaryartery (MPA) and tricuspid blood flow velocity were measured bytwo-dimensional echocardiography. The transverse diameter at the level of thebasal and mi-segment of the right ventricle free wall as well as the longitudinaldiameter were measured by real time three-dimensional echocardiography. TheTAD at right ventricular free wall, septum, the mid-point and longitudinalshortening (recorded as T1, T2, Tm and Tm%) were measured by TMADtechnique using off-line QLab7.0software; and right ventricular ejectionfraction (RVEF) were calculated by using3DQ software.Results:(1) T1, T2, Tm and Tm%of A group were significantly lowerthan that of N group (P<0.1). T1, T2, Tm and Tm%of B group were lower thanthat of N group (p<0.05), but higher than A group (p<0.05). T1, T2, Tm andTm%of C group closed to that of N group. The T2differences of A group, Bgroup and C group were obscure.(2) Tricuspid annular displacement of Ngroup measured by color kinesis displayed uniformly orange, yellow, green, cyan and blue in orders. By contrast, the colors of A group absented ordisplayed un uniformly. Gradually, the colors of B group and C group closed tothat of N group.(3)The parameters of TAD correlated positively with RVEF,r=0.81(T1),0.42(T2),0.84(Tm) and0.91(Tm%), especially in Tm and Tm%(p<0.01).Conclusion: T1, Tm and Tm%of patient group with ASD were significantlylower than that of N group (P<0.1). The colors of patient group absented ordisplayed un uniformly.
