General hospital is the main body of Chinese Medical institutions.it is related to People’s life and health. With the medicine pattern changed from the biological medicine to the biological-psychology-society medicine, People started to pay greater attention to the connection between human being and social and natural, They Start to search for get health of "good medicine" from natural and social factors. All over the world the interest of recovery and rehabilitation of landscape design theory and function is growing. The landscape is to get medical rehabilitation role cognition. But the past old hospital outdoor garden environment has not keep up with the rapid development of society and the pace of hospital. It can’t meet all kinds of people’s different demands. At present the most comprehensive hospital in Chengdu lack of consideration and design about the medical rehabilitation function of landscape, this form of sharp contradictions with the development of the society and times. So it is urgent to march further Research and scientific study on the design of the medical rehabilitation role of the hospital landscape, construction new mode healing garden in Chengdu in order to conform to the development trend of hospital, garden industry and the whole society.This article through Consulting Literatures, field research, interview and questionnaire survey and design of case, the main get the following results.(l)At present the healing garden’s rehabilitation medical function reflect from three aspects: combining horticultural therapy, use care plants and various senses design.(2) The degree of people know about the healing garden and preferences:People know very little about healing garden. People generally like plants growing and gardening operation. People think that healing garden should provide rich sense perception for users.(3)General hospital in Chengdu exist some characteristics and deficiencies: green space scattered and finely, not system; landscape and planting single and lack of features; low utilization rate of existing green space; Parking space occupying most outdoor space of the hospital; lack of "health design" guiding ideology.(4) Come up with three layout mode of Chengdu’s General hospital. And raise its goal, principles and main points of design. The rehabilitation function of healing garden is main realize by the geographical environment and ecological factors, health cultural, color, health care plants and nonprescription drugs Therapy.(5) Get a set of complete design specifications and planning drawings about healing garden of west China Hospital of Sichuan University.
