The Research Of Expression And Correlation Of PTEN And Survivn In Epithelial Ovarian Carcinoma

Objective: To investigate the role of PTEN and Survivin in the occurance and development of the epithelial ovarian carcinoma and its clinical significance by detecting the expression and correlation of PTEN and Survivin in epithelia ovarian carcinoma.Methods:The expression of PTEN and Survivin in38cases of ovarian epithelial carcinoma,21benign rumors and20normal ovarian tissue were determined by S-P immunohistochemical method. Reverse transcription-polymarase chain reation(RT-PCR)were used to examine the expression of PTEN mRNA in the three groups. The correlations between PTEN and Survivin expression in ovarian epithelial carcinoma were assessed by Pearson Chi-Square test.Results:The positive rate of PTEN protein and PTEN mRNA in the ovarian carcer tissue was lower than in the normal and benign ovarian rumors (P<0.05); Survivin expression trend was opposite to that of PTEN. In ovarian epithelia carcinoma,negative correlation between expression of PTEN and Survivin was abserved(r=-0.527,P=0.001).No different expression of PTEN and Survivin among histological types or ages was found (P>0.05).The expression level of PTEN and Surviving were associated with differentiation, clinic stage (P<0.05)Conclusions:PTEN and Survivin may play an important role in the initation,development.and prognosis of ovarian epithelia carcinoma and the combination of PTEN and Survivin expression may be helpful in predicting the malignant degree and prognosis of ovarian epithelia cancer.
