The Clinical Observation On Using Qingnao Fushen Ye To Treat With Mild Cognitive Impairment

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of qingnao fushen Ye,on the treatment in the elderly with mild cognitive impairment,and give an objective assessment so as to provide a more effective and safer treatment program of Chinese medicine to cure the mild cognitive impairment.Methods:We collected35patients with MCI from communities. The patients take10ml of qingnao fushen Ye twice a day.after meals. All patients took this medication for3months. Methods marking a contrast themselves method before and after the treatment,judging curative.At the end of the therapy, the efficacy of the drug was monitored by the rating scales of Chinese medicine syndrome and neuropsychological tests. Besides, we briefly estimated the security of qingnao fushen Ye for patients with MCI.Results:In the clinic research, the neuropsychological tests:Clinical memory scale effective rate was75.00%:Mini-mental state examination effective rate was84.37%.Statistical analysis evidenced significant improvements in mini-mental state examination,clinical memory scale,instrumental activities of daily living Scale and GDS, P<0.05; Trail making test B, boston naming test and clock drawing test, P>0.05. Further,the patients could be improved in general cognitive ability,memory,instrumental activities of daily Living scale and depressed emotion and so on,P<0.05. However,the executive function,language ability and the space structure ability of the patients in the group couldnot improved P>0.05.The total effective rate of symptoms was90.63%.It also showed qingnao fushen Ye could significantly improve such symptoms as decreased intelligence,lumbar genu aching and limp, feeling of heavy head,looking gloomy and so on P<0.05.Conclusions:The prevention and cure of MCI can use the results acquired from studying Chinese medicine literatures for reference. Qingnao fushen Ye made at the guidance of the principle of soothe the nerves and benefiting kidney,dispelling sputum and opening orifice,activating blood and dispelling blood stasis have efficiency on patients with MCI with the syndrome of weakness kidney mixed sputum and blood stasis. Qingnao fushen Ye also could markedly improve the patients’ cognitive function,the ability of using instruments,the level of general cognitive function, especially depressed emotion.but had poor influence on the executive function,language ability and the space structure ability. This study fewer side effects during this period and high safety.
