ObjectiveTo assess the repeatability of anterior chamber volume(ACV)、central anteriorchamber depth(CACD)、peripheral anterior chamber depth(PACD)、anterior chamberangle(ACA)and pupil diameter(PD) measured by Pentacam-Scheimpflug.MethodsThirty eyes of30normal young subjects (15male and15female), aged between18and27years, were enrolled. ACV、CACD、PACD、ACA and PD were measured usingPentacam-Scheimpflug at three times consecutive by one observer. Statistical analyseswere performed using SPSS for windows version13.0. First of all, the data of the anteriorchamber biology parameter was Shapiro-Wilk Normal distribution inspection, and wasdrawing by Normal Q-Q figure (Normal Q-Q Plots). Then to study the repeatability andreproducibility of the anterior segmental parameters assessed by thePentacam-Scheimpflug with the intraclass correlation coefficients. And the data of threegroups of the anterior chamber biological parameters was taken by the correlation analysis.ResultsThe intraclass correlation coefficients of ACV、CACD、PACD0°、PACD90°、PACD180°、PACD270°、ACA and PD measurements were0.986、0.985、0.989、0.954、0.989、0.991、0.956and0.929respectively.All correlation coefficients were higher than0.800.ConclusionPentacam-Scheimpflu has a high degree of repeatability and reproducibility for theanterior chamber volume、central anterior chamber depth、peripheral anterior chamberdepth and anterior chamber angle.The function of getting the pupil diameter was limited,as the principle of the Pentacam-Scheimpflug and (or) the anterior chamber anatomy of theeye. ObjectiveTo evaluate of changes in anterior chamber volume(ACV)、central anterior chamberdepth(CACD)、peripheral anterior chamber depth(PACD)、anterior chamber angle(ACA)and pupil diameter (PD) after jogging in health young sedentary eyes withPentacam-Scheimpflug.Methods58health young sedentary subjects (58eyes) were enrolled in this pilot study. Eachsubject received a preparticipation physical examination. The subjects commenced runningfor20min on a standard treadmill based on the Karvonen formula. Before the jogging, theimmediately at cessation of jogging and at5,15,30, and60min parameters of anteriorsegment, intraocular pressure(IOP) and axial length(AL) were recorded by one skilledophthalmologist. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS for windows version13.0.ACV、CACD、PACD、ACA、PD、IOP and AL at each follow-up time were analyzedusing Repeated measures analysis of variance. To compare the parameters at eachfollowe-up time by Bonferroni. The correlation was analyzed between the changes ofACV、CACD、PACD、ACA、PD、IOP and AL.ResultsACV、CACD、PACD、ACA、PD、IOP and AL changed after jogging,especiallyat the immediately at cessation. Anterior chamber volume increased significant(188.38±25.87μl/198.03±27.32μl, P<0.05), the depth of central anterior chamberincreased significant(3.19±0.25mm/3.21±0.25mm,P<0.05),peripheral anterior chamberdepth was higher(2.37±0.25mm/2.43±0.25mm,P<0.05), anterior chamber angledecreased (41.59±4.91°/40.69±4.68°,P<0.05), pupil diameter increased(2.98±0.38mm/3.34±0.59mm,P<0.05), intraocular pressure decreased(14.50±2.87mm/12.78±2.51mm,P<0.05), axial length increased(24.95±0.89mm/24.97±0.89mm,P<0.05)。There was a positive correlation between thechanges of ACV and PACD(r=0.565),and the changes of CACD and PACD(r=0.392)。Conclusion The anterior chamber depth deepened, anterior chamber volume increased, pupildiameter increased and eye axis growth after jogging20min, it told that jogging can causethe dynamic changes of the anteriorsegment morphology and reduce intraocular pressure.Whether the mechanism of the dynamic changes of the anteriorsegment morphology forhemodynamic factors of thickness changes in choroidal, when the choroidal was thinner,and eye content structure was changed, it need to study confirm in future.
