Objective: To investigate the effect of subclinical thyroid function onbiochemical indexes related to coronary heart disease, left ventricular end diastolicdiameter and ejection fraction, hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart diseaseMethods:A total of144unrelated Han Chinese subjects (84men and60women)hospitalized from September1st,2012to January31st,2013in NortheastChina, consisting of39case subjects (21men and18women, aged40±80years) with subclinical hypothyroidism and105control subjects (63men and42women, aged40±80years) with euthyroidism and susceptible factors inatherosclerosis-related diseases, were enrolled in this case-control study, whichwas performed in the Cardiovascular Center, the First Hospital of Jilin University,Changchun. TSH,FT3, FT4were all measured. Coronary heart disease was confirmedby coronary angiography or the symptoms and laboratory diagnosis. The data wasanalyzed with SPSSl8.0.Results: Triglyceride levels in39patients with subclinical hypothyroidism groupwas significantly higher than that of105cases of thyroid function normal triglyceridelevels (P <0.05). There are10cases with diabetes in the39case subjects and12caseswith diabetes in the105control subjects. The incidence of CHD in subclinicalhypothyroidism group is higher than that of euthyroidism (P <0.05).There are34cases with CHD in the39case subjects and74cases with CHD in the105controlsubjects. The incidence of CHD in subclinical hypothyroidism group is higher thanthat of euthyroidism (P <0.05).However, there is no significance (P>0.05) in theaspect of others. Conclusion:The level of triglyceride subclinical hypothyroidism group werehigher than that of normal thyroid function group, and the incidence of diabetes andCHD subclinical hypothyroidism group was higher than that of normal thyroidfunction in coronary heart disease group, indicating the higher rate of diabetes andCHD in patients with subclinical hypothyroidism. However, it is unclear that thepatients with subclinical hypothyroidism has higher incidence of coronary heartdisease because of high level of triglyceride. It is better to monitor for thyroidfunction in patients with diabetes and coronary heart.
