Qualitative Study On Primipara’s Evaluation About TCM Combined Western Nursing Interventions Of Labors

Objective:To give TCM combined western nursing intervention to primipara who fit including standard in a top TCM hospital, and use interviw of qualitative study to evaluate the effect. Through the process of intervention-evaluation-feedback-promotion, based on primipara’s evaluation to assess the satisfatory during the first labor with TCM combined western nursing interventions, and the possibility of implementation of TCM nursing during delievery. Through the discussion on influence factors of evaluation about TCM combined western nursing intervention to improve the quality of labor care.Method:TCM combined western labor nursing interventions are formed based on literature review and clinical practice. To study primipara who fit including standard and give delievery in a top TCM hospital. To obtain research objects’basic information through questionaire, to confirm research objects through Objective sampling method, to interview research objects through semi-structured interview based on outlines, to analysize interview material through category analysis. So as to understand puerpera’s feeling on TCM combined western nursing interventions during labor, and their evaluation on TCM combined western nursing interventions are identified.Result:1. primipara’s satisfatory:(1) puerpera’s supporting needs are not fully satisfied-including emotional support, information support, etc.(2) puerpera’s satisfatory on technique is low, especially pain management.(3) puerpera’s neeed of self-understanding is basically satisfied.(4) puerpera’s neeed of enviroment is not fully satisfied.(5) puerpera’s neeed of service is highly satisfied.2. puerpera’s understanding about TCM labor nursing is little, and their sense of it is weak, it’s chracteristic is lack of distinctiveness. Puerpera believe that TCM labor nursing can satify their emotional, information, technique needs. So, TCM labor nursing is possible to be implemented.3. the influencial factors of primipara’s evaluation on western medical combined TCM care during labor are expection and understanding about natural labor, subjective impression on nursing staff, and whether the labor is smooth. Conclusions: 1. based on puerpera’s feedback, present labor nursing model is not fully satify puerpera’s need. So, it is necessary to improve it with clinical pratice.2. TCM labor nursing has a large developing space in clinical practice, nursing staff should pay more attention to it and develop TCM nursing theory and skills, so as to improve nursing quality.
