Objective: To understand present situation on the main malaria media anopheles populationchange, density, ecological habits, deltamethrin resistance and density change during the lasteight years in Hubei province, in order to provide a reference for malaria control beforeeliminate malaria in2018.Methodology: Field investigation was carried out in Jingshan,Guangshui and Zengdu cities tounderstand the the anopheles density and ecological habits; Collecting the anopheles by humanbaited net trap method,mosquito net trap and light trap methods,in order to monitor density ofanopheles that infect malaria;Adult anopheles filter contact method recommender by WHO wasused to monitor the resistance of anopheles to insecticides; By collecting anopheles densityvalue in Jingshan, Guangshui, Zengdu, Wuxue and Zaoyang from2005to2012, we hadanalyzed the data in the way of descriptive analysis, variance test and chi-square test.Results: Anopheles anthropophagus has not been found in the whole five survey areas in2012,and the anopheles sinensis is the advanced one. The anopheles sinensis larvae like breeding inthe paddy field and related pool and water ditch, the proportion of he anopheles sinensis suckhuman blood is12.78%, suck livestock blood was87.22%. The anopheline mosquito larvaedensity curve basically the same as the adult mosquito density curve in every district.Theanopheles sinensis larvae density peak is July and August, adult mosquito density peak appearon July and August.In the anopheles sinensis larvae density survey, the density invested in lateAugust at Zengdu was the highest in2012(3.62per spoon); In the adult anopheles density survey,the human baited net trap density and light traping density in July at Wuxue was highest (39.83per man-hour and214.5per night), Zaoyang mosquito net trap density in July was highest (0.58per net). In2005~2012, the anopheles people draw density was ups and downs at every area,the highest point is Zengdu in2010(21.86per man-hour). The lowest point is Jingshan in2012(1.59per man-hour), the people draw density in2011and2012tend to go down at allregions. All regions mosquito net trap density curve form each one, The highest point is Wuxuein2005(0.48per night),The lowest point is Jingshan in2012(0.01per night). The anopheles todeltamethrin resistance levels are R, Five regions ’anopheles sinensis are all high resistancegroups.Conclusion: Anopheles anthropophagus population density has decreased obviously in Hubeiprovince..The adult anopheles sinensis is partial suction livestock blood, for half home habitattype mosquito species. The larva is born in rice paddies, irrigation canal (channel) and pool, andits density peak is in July and August. The anopheles sinensis density distribution was differentin different regions. The density went up and down in the past eight years. The anopheles sinensis to deltamethrin have high resistance in the whole five regions, and its resistance hasbeen greatly improved. We suggested adjusting measures according to local conditions, takingeffective measures to reduce the mosquito density, and paying continuous attention to malariaprevention, in order to make a full preparation for eliminating malaria in complete province in2018.
