ObjectiveTo study the treatment effects of Bariatric surgery procedures on Wistar ratsglucose metabolism.Materials&MethodsTwenty-five male rats weight for210-270g were randomly divided into fivegroups, each group consider five rats, group one was operated by Roux-en-Ygastrojejunostomy with partial gastrectomy, group two was operated bygastrojejunostomy with duodenum exclusion and stomach capacitymaintenance, group three was operated by partial gastrectomy named sleevegastrectomy, group four was sham operation, group five was controlled trail. The changes of FBG and weight during preoperative and postoperative from thefirst week to fifth week were observed every week. The OGTT and foodintakewere observed during preoperative and the point of the third and fifth weekpostoperative respectively. The blood insulin and GLP-1concentration ofpostoperative and irrigation stomach15minutes after the glucosis.ResultsAfter one week, the weight of RYGB and SG operative group downsignificantly (p <0.05). A week later, thy started to put on weight, until five weeksto observe the final, those two groups are still not return to preoperative leveland always lower than those in the control and sham operative groups. Afterthree weeks, the foodintake of RYGB and SG groups is significantly lower thanthe others each treatment (p <0.05). On the one hand, Until to the fifth week, the foodintake of RYGB and SG group is increasing, substantially more than the foodintake of the third week,s level (p <0.05). On the other hand, the foodintskeof those groups has been restored to preoperative level and there is nosignificantly diffrence between the other groups.Every group had no varies on FBG, insulin, GLP-1, OGTT,at the point ofthe third week(p﹥0.05). There only one kind of intervention to Wistar ratsresulted in a statistically significantly decrease in glycemia of OGTT60min andAUC compared with condition of SO group and NC group at the fifth week in theRYGB group. At the same time, the irrigation stomach15min concentration ofinsulin increased in RYGB group(p<0.05), the irrigation15min concentration ofGLP-1increased in RYGB and DJB groups compared with condition of SO andNC group(p<0.05).ConclusionsBariatric surgery procedures has no effection to the FBG of Wistar rats.RYGB procedures accelerated the secretion of postprandial blood insulin so asto accelerated the pancreatic glucose metabolic. The bariatric surgeryprocedures with proximal jejunum duodenum exclusion can increase theconcentration of postprandial GLP-1. Both RYGB and SG operations have lossweight function on the normal weight rats, there have nothing to do with thedecrease of foodintake.
