Objective: To determine risk factors leading to the type2diabetes combined withcerebral infarction, a comprehensive analysis using software Review Manager5basedon published papers about type2diabetes combined with cerebral infarction on homeand abroad journals was made. Methods: Papers about type2diabetes combined with cerebral infarction from1997to2011were totally indexed, all the data of these involved case was entered into databaseof software Review manager5. Test for heterogeneity was firstly did to determinecalculation mode-fixed effect model or random effect model. The combined oddsratio(OR), which was used as effect index, was calculated and its corresponding95%confidence interval (95%CI) was calculated, either. Sensitivity analysis was performed, and funnel plot, liner regression and fail-safe number were all given to evaluate thepublication bias.Result:13literatures were gotten for Meta-analysis through the selection of including andexcluding standards. The following factors had the significant difference:hypertension, triglycerides, LDL-C, glycosylated hemoglobin Alc. The combined OR and95%confidence interval were respectively as followings:2.38(1.91,2.97),1.67(1.20,2.32),1.66(1.33,2.08),1.66(1.15,2.38).There were no significant differences between HDL-C,uric acid and age. Conclusion: Factors associated with retinopathy were hypertension,triglycerides,LDL-C,glycosylated hemoglobin Alc.
