The Study Of Liver Volume Measurements By Multiple-slice Spiral CT And MR

Objective:To compare the liver volume measuremengts by MSCT and MR.Methods:(1) animal studys.:20rabbits were scanned by MSCT and MR.Then measure the rabbits’liver immediately (actual liver volume ALV) by means of water displacement. Compare the liver volumes measured by MSCT, MR and water displacement.(2)clinical studys:Scan livers of15pations with MSCT and MR,then measured their volume.Find the relationship of them.Results:animal studys.:The liver volumes of rabbit measured by MSCT and MR have a significant correlation with the actual liver volume (r=0.980、0.993, P<0.01). clinical studys:The difference of liver volume measured by MSCT and MR are not statistically significant.Conclusion:MSCT and MR can provide accurate information in the measurement of the liver volume,they are reliable in the clinical practice.
