Objective:To explore the symptom factors’ regularity in active staging(A), healing staging(H) and scar staging(S)of peptic ulcer (PU),and provide reference for curing PU with Traditional Chinese Medicine in clinical practice. Methods:To establish material collection form’ of four diagnostic, and collect the four diagnostic information of300PU patients’ which corresponded with inclusion criteria depend on epidemiological investigation, and adopt symptom factors differentiation to extract the symptom factors in every endoscopic staging of PU patients’, analyze and process by SPSS16.0statistics software. Results:The primary symptom factors of diseases location in a stage of PU were stomach, spleen. There were significantly different between stomach, spleen and liver, channel, kidney, heart (P<0.05).The primary symptom factors of diseases location in H staging, S staging of PU were stomach, spleen, liver. There were no significant difference between stomach and spleen and liver (P>0.05).There were significantly different between stomach, spleen, liver and channel, kidney, heart (P<0.05).2. The major symptom factors of diseases’ character in a staging of PU were heat, Yang deficiency and dampness. There were significantly different between heat, Yang deficiency, dampness and Qi stagnation, blood stasis, Qi deficiency (P<0.05).The primary symptom factors of diseases’ character in H staging of PU were heat, Qi stagnation, Yang deficiency. There were significantly different between heat, Qi stagnation, Yang deficiency and dampness, blood stasis, Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency (P<0.05).In S staging of PU, the main symptom factors of diseases’ character were Yang deficiency, Qi stagnation. There were significantly different between Yang deficiency, Qi stagnation and heat, dampness, blood stasis, Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency (P<0.05).Blood stasis occurred frequently in the PU staging’s.3. The primary symptom factors of diseases’ character of stomach was heat, followed by dampness. The primary symptom factors of diseases’ character of spleen was dampness, followed by Yang deficiency. The primary symptom factors of diseases’ character of liver was Qi stagnation, followed by heat.4. The major symptom factors of diseases’ character were heat and dampness in A staging of gastric ulcer, followed by Yang deficiency. There were significantly different between heat, dampness and Qi stagnation Yang deficiency, blood stasis, Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency (P<0.05).There were no significantly different between heat and dampness (P>0.05). The mainly symptom factors of diseases’ character were heat and dampness in A staging of duodenal ulcer were Yang deficiency, followed by heat, dampness. There were significantly different between Yang deficiency and heat, dampness, blood stasis, Qi deficiency, Yin deficiency (P<0.05). Thus it can be seen that the primary symptom factors of diseases’ character were heat, dampness in A staging of gastric ulcer and in a staging of duodenal ulcer was Yang deficiency.5. The major symptom factors of diseases’ character of PU associated with Hp suffered were heat, dampness. There were no significantly different between heat and dampness (P>0.05).There were significantly different between heat, dampness and Qi stagnation, Yang deficiency, blood stasis, Qi deficiency (P<0.01).Conclusions:1. Stomach, spleen and liver were the primary symptom factors of diseases location in staging of PU. Stomach and spleen were the focus in therapy of A staging of PU and in H staging, S staging of PU, the focus were liver, stomach and spleen.2. Heat, Yang deficiency and dampness were the major symptom factors of diseases’ character in a staging of PU. The main symptom factors of diseases’character in H staging of PU were heat, Qi stagnation, Yang deficiency and in S staging of PU were Yang deficiency, Qi stagnation. Blood stasis appeared frequently in every staging of PU. Clearing heat, warming stomach and dissolving dampness were the important therapy in a staging of PU. The mainly therapy were clearing heat, regulating Qi, warming stomach in H staging of PU. The mainly treatment were warming stomach and regulating Qi in S staging of PU. Blood stasis occurred frequently in the PU stagings. It prompted that there was great significance to combine with activating the blood to remove basing on syndrome differentiation.3. The primary symptom factors of diseases’ character of stomach was heat, followed by dampness, of spleen was dampness, followed by Yang deficiency, of liver was Qi stagnation, followed by heat. Clearing heat and dissolving damp were the primary therapy of syndrome differentiation of stomach. The mainly therapy of syndrome differentiation of spleen were dissolving dampness and warming Yang. Discharging liver, regulating Qi and clearing heat were the primary therapy of syndrome differentiation of liver.4. Clearing heat, dissolving dampness were the mainly therapy in A staging of gastric ulcer and in A staging of duodenal ulcer the primary therapy were warming stomach, invigorating the spleen.5. The major symptom factors of diseases’ character of the patients of PU associated with Hp suffered were heat and dampness. Clearing heat, dissolving dampness and combining with filling weakness should be used in the treatment of Hp eradication.
