Objective:To investigate the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture JaJi points therapy on patients with low back pain after posterior decompression and internal fixation by lumbar interbody fusion.Methods:60voluntary patients with posterior decompression and internal fixation by lumbar interbody fusion to FU JIAN PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL from2009-12to2010-11were observed, which were randomly divided into2groups: treatment and control. All samples were evaluated with CT/MRI, in which various extent imaging of lumbar joints degeneration, vertebral plate hyperplasia, pachynsis of flaval ligment and disc herniation were evident. The control group were treated only with operation, and the treatment group were treated with electro-acupuncture therapy after operation. Curative outcomes were evaluated based on JOA Low Back Pain Scoring Systerm including the symptom and physical sign recorded before treatment,1month,6month and12month after treatment. And changes in surface EMG median frequency (MF) values as an objective assessment indicators.Results:1.The evaluation of JOA Low Back Pain Scoring Systerm and score improvement rate: When all patients were followed up for1month,6month and12month, in treatment group, the total effective rate were80%,86.7%,93.3%. And70%,73.3%,80.0%in control group. All patients were followed up for1month,6months and12month compared with that before treatment, the grade based on JOA Low Back Pain Scoring System were higher in two groups. The effective rate in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(p<0.05), which showed the currently and long term curative effect in treatment group were superior to that in control group.2.Changes in evaluation of the value of surface EMG frequency (MF): When all patients were followed up for1month,6month and12month, The two groups showed a upward trend, but the treatment group increased more obviously. The value of MF in treatment group was significantly higher than that in control group(p<0.05), which showed the currently and long term curative effect in treatment group were superior to that in control group.Theoretical basis:Electric needle acupuncture waist Jiaji not only by the pulse current to stimulate the pathological segment of the nerve, thus regulating the excitability of the human brain cortex to pain relief, but also stimulate the local depths of the muscle tissue, making it appear rhythm relaxation and contraction, the effective release of the nerve root adhesion, while improving the body of free radical scavenging capacity, and promote the flow of potassium ions to the cells, thereby reducing tissue damage, promote blood supply and circulation, improve tissue nutrition, elimination of nerve ischemia, edema, and promote the recovery of nerve root function.Conclusions:Electro-acupuncture JaJi points therapy on patients with low back pain after posterior decompression and internal fixation by lumbar interbody fusion had a better curative effect in clinical.
