OBJECTIVE:It is to observe the influence of Yuzhuoqing Granule, which bases on the principle of removing stasis-turbid and tonifying liver and kidney, in hypertension patients with depression, and so as to provide ideas about clinical treatment with traditional Chinese medicine for hypertension patients with depression.MATERIALS AND METHODS:1Divide60patients with compatible conditions into treatment group and control group using the randomized method. The treatment group and control group patients both have Valsartan Dispersible Tablets40mg/time (lunanbeite pharmaceutical Co., LTD production), once per day; Deanxit20mg/time (Denmark Linbei pharmaceutical company production), once per day as the basal medicine; The treatment group use Yuzhuoqing Granule1pack/day, based on the basis of control group.2The whole trial lasts for8weeks. All patients receive the clinical effect assessment before and after the treatment, including blood pressure measurement, Han Milton depression scale rating and symptoms integral evaluation.RESULTS:1The two groups’ average systolic blood pressure and average diastolic pressure differences were not statistically significant before treatment (P>0.05); The treatment group’s systolic blood pressure from167.23±8.08average fell to132.30±5.61,after treatment, diastolic pressure from105.37±5.28average fell to82.80±6.89after treatment; The compare group’s systolic blood pressure from169.79±9.91average fell to143.43±5.18after treatment, diastolic pressure from103.52±5.16average fell to84.43±7.35. after treatment. Two groups’average systolic blood pressure and diastolic pressure after treatment are ignificantly lower than those before treatment (P <0.05or P<0.01), and after treatment systolic blood pressure was significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05) between the two groups, diastolic pressure has no significant differences.2The antihypertensive effects of the treatment group was higher than the compare group, the significant efficiency is50%, the total effective rate is83.3%; The compare group’s significant efficiency is20%, the total effective rate is76.7%, Antihypertensive effects of the two groups has a significant difference. Yuzhuoqing’s antihypertensive characteristics is clear. The effect is gentle with high stability and small volatility. Most of the patients with the blood pressure becoming lower, their symptoms appear a slowly improving process. After3weeks’treatment, the blood pressure reduce to a lower level, there is no blood pressure picks up and a wave phenomenon. The systolic pressure, diastolic pressure after treatment compared with those before treatment has no significant difference.3Yuzhuoqing in improving symptom scores have obvious advantages. After treatment, the treatment group’s score dropped from26.20±6.13points to16.87±5.02. The statistical treatment differences after treatment compared with those before treatment has significant difference (P<0.05). Integral effect between the groups has remarkable differences (P<0.05).4Yuzhuoqing also has the obvious advantages in improving headaches, dizziness, deaf tinnitus, lumbar debility, heel pain, heart palpitations and other single symptoms. Two group of60cases, there are50cases of patients have different degree of dizziness, after therapy, two groups of dizziness eased symptoms, the treatment group was better than the untreated group; In five individual symptoms, after therapy heart palpitations has no significant difference between the two groups; the other four single symptoms in treatment group have significant difference.5Two groups’Han Milton depression scale points before treatment is not statistically significant (P>0.05); Two groups’ Han Milton depression scale points after treatment compared with that before treatment has significant difference (P<0.05or P<0.01), and the points between the two groups after treatment has significant difference (P<0.05).6The treatment group in the course of the study, all the blood biochemical, routine blood, urine and blood clotting after treatment compared with before all did not appear abnormal change; a patient in the treatment group had mild abdominal distension, without treatment, alleviate by himself. So that clinical use of Yuzhuoqing is safe.CONCLUSIONS:1Yuzhuoqing Granule effectively reduces patients’ blood pressure, on which the treatment group works better than the control group.2Yuzhuoqing Granule effectively reduces patients’ integral of clinical symptoms. It also has certain advantages among treatment using only western medicine, in the improvement of single symptoms.3Yuzhuoqing Granule effectively reduces depression symptom scores, improves patients’ clinical depression, thus enhances patients’ living standard.4Significant side effects had never been found in Yuzhuoqing Granule, thus it is safe and reliable to use in clinical treatment.5Yuzhuoqing Granule is based on the principle of removing stasis-turbid and tonifying liver and kidney, and has distinct effect on hypertension patients with depression, whose main pathogenesis are liver and kidney deficiency, blood stasis turbidity resistance. It reflects principles of "overall" and "syndrome differentiation treatment" of traditional Chinese medicine, and provides some clinical thoughts and methods of TCM clinical treatment on other diseases of the same pathogenesis.6Comparing the observation index, it was found that after8weeks’ treatment in hypertension patients with depression using Yuzhuoqing Granule, blood pressure, depression symptoms and other major indexes were distinctly improved. As hypertension is a permanent disease and depression is a recurrent disease, the positive results above need more long-term follow-up and more large sample observation.
