Objective To investigate the incidence of awareness during generalanesthesia by total intravenous anesthesia with target controlled infusion innon-cardiac surgery and to analyze the possible reasons for its occurrence andrelated factors in order to reduce the incidence of intraoperative awareness by.total intravenous anesthesia with target controlled infusion.Methods1061patients who underwent general anesthesia were randomlyseclected, the ages were19to72years, ASAI~III, without electrophysiologicaland muscle relaxation monitoring. All patients received target controlled infusionwith propofol and remifentanil, initial plasma concentrations was3.0μg/ml,fentanyl2~4μg/Kg, vecuronium bromide0.1mg/Kg or cisatracurium besilatefor injection0.2mg/Kg. All patients received total intravenous anesthesia, received fentanyl and neuromuscular blocking drugs intermittently duringanesthesia.Record the useing time of propofol, the plasma concentrations of theinduction, skin incision, and skinsuture, the dose of propofol, the dose of remifentanil.Interviews were conducted in1-3days postoperatively, toinvestigate the incidence of awareness during general anesthesia by TCI.Results Of all the inpatients, nobody was reported awareness,14(1.3%)reported dreaming during anesthesia.13were females,11patients underwentlaparoscopic surgery, the plasma concentrations of propofol was3.15±0.38μg/ml,the give medicine rate of the propofol was9.41±3.59mg/kg·h.Conclusion The incidence of awareness in non-cardiac surery patientsduring general anesthesia by TCI was0,and dreaming during anesthesia was1.3%. the plasma concentrations of propofol was3.15±0.38μg/ml,or the givemedicine rate of the propofol was9.41±3.59mg/kg·h,can maintain the depthof anesthesia, the incidence of awareness reduced significantly.
