Objective:To investigate the clinical significance of plasma amino terminalpro-brain natriuretic peptide precursor level assessment of the cardiac functionin patients with sepsis.Methods:40sepsis patients from2011October to2012April in the firsthospital of Guangxi Medical University in EICU was Collected, who areconsistent with the2001American College of Chest Physicians/Society ofcritical care medicine sepsis diagnostic criteria. All patients within24hours ofadmission clinical and laboratory parameters were collected,Including age, gender, body temperature, pulse respiration, blood pressure, blood, urine, liverand kidney function, blood glucose, electrolytes, myocardial enzymes, arterialblood gas analysis and central venous pressure,24hours urine, acute physiologyand chronic health evaluation Ⅱ score. At the same time collecting within24hours of admission to NT-proBNP. According to whether the patient had heartfailure has occurred is divided into heart failure group and non heart failuregroup, exploring the NT-proBNP sepsis patients heart function to evaluate thesignificance of.At the same time on blood lactic acid, NT-proBNP and APACHEⅡ score was analyzed with correlation. Results:11cases of sepsis in patients with heart failure,29patientswithout heart failure. Heart failure group of the heart rate, central venouspressure, plasma NT-proBNP level, serum creatine kinase, blood lactate levelsand APACHE Ⅱ score was significantly higher than non-heart failure group.Non-heart failuregroup of the mean arterial pressure,24-hour urine output islower than the heart failure group.Sepsis in patients with NT-proBNP andAPACHE Ⅱ score were positively correlated (r=0.762, P <0.05), NT-proBNPand blood lactate were positively correlated (r=0.678, P <0.05).Conclusion:1Plasma NT-proBNP levels can responses in septic patients with heartfunction and has the clinical significance of diagnosis for sepsis complicatedwith heart failure in the early.2The level of plasma NT-proBNP in patients with sepsis severityassessment has certain clinical value.
