Objective: To explore the feasibility and value of carbon nanoparticles tracer laparoscopicSLN detection in cervical carcinoma, to evaluate the forecasts accuracy of the SLN forpelvic lymph node status in cervical carcinoma. Methods:21cases cervical cancerpatients who would be underwent laparoscopic extended hysterectomy and pelviclymphadenoetomy. Injected carbon nanoparticles suspension injection tracer from cervicalbefore surgery, identified blacking lymph nodes and cut them as SLN under thelaparoscopic, packaged SLNs and NSLNs respectively for routine pathologicalexamination. Observed and analyzed the distribution of SLN in the lymphatic drainagearea, evaluated the sensitivity, accuracy and negative predictive value of the SLN forpelvic lymph node status of cervical carcinoma. Results: In21early cervical cancerpatients,20cases had successful detected at least one SLN, the total detection rate is95.24%(20/21).21cases were swept out of a total of502pelvic lymph nodes, the averageremoval of23.9lymph nodes per case.20cases of patients with successful detection had atotal of158SLNs, for3.9of SLNs on each side per patient on average. After conventionalpathology results suggest that5cases (23.81%) patients tested positive lymph nodes, atotal of16, including4patients of14(87.50%) positive SLN. The failing case had anpositive inguinal lymph node. The sentinel lymph node detection sensitivity was80.0%(4/5), the specificity was100.0%(16/16), and accuracy of100.0%(20/20), negativepredictive value was100.0%(16/16).Conclusion:1.Laparoscopic carbon nanoparticlestracer SLN detection in cervical carcinoma is relative a safe and feasible method,whichhas a high detection rate and accuracy.2.Obturator is most common lymphatic drainagearea for cervical cancer SLN.3.The state of the cervical cancer SLN has high consistencyfor pelvic lymph node true state of metastasis and with a more accurate pathologicalrepresentations.
