Objectives:Based on TTM and MI, to intervene and control the exercising and psychological status of obesity children, to tailor change messages to specific stages of exercising and to test and verify the intervention effect; to explore a kind of useful、simple and easily persistent psychological intervention model suitable for obesity children, thus promote their healthy growth. Methods:this is a quasi-experimental research. Pilot study was conducted to improve the intervention strategy and assess the research tools and questionnaires.73obesity students were randomly recruited from one elementary school in Changsha, Hunan province. After baseline assessment, researchers handed out 《Health education and self-assessment brochure for obese children》 to the obesity and implemented MI to the obesity in the stages of precontemplation and contemplation in order to enhance their motivation of weight control. Same assessment as the baseline was carried out at post-intervention1(T1)and3month(the end). Follow-up report was handed out5-8days after baseline assessment and1month after intervention. The follow-up report is based on children’s finished questionnaire, then summarize exercising situation psychological problems and corresponding strategies. Participants’ exercising situation、social anxiety、self-esteem、solitude and BMI were assessed pre-and post-intervention, then analyze the intervention effect.Results:1. baseline data:most of obesity children are in the precontemplation、contemplation and preparation stages, few of them in action and maintenance stages and with a weaker awareness of weight control by physical exercise; the score of Social anxiety、loneliness of obese children are higher than the normal ones, while the score of self-esteem is lower than the normal children.2. Post-intervention data:(1) exercising data:research shows in terms of exercising stages there is a significant difference (P<0.05) among T0、T1and T3. With intervention time putting forward, result has a trend of improvement.(2) Social anxiety data:ANOVA for repeated measurements was carried out to analyze the social anxiety difference among T0、T1and T3. Result shows there is no significant difference (P>0.05) among To andT1, then the differences between T3and T0、T1are significant(P<0.05). That is to say, With intervention time putting forward, the scores of denial scary、social withdraw and annoyance have decreased, and this difference is significant (P<0.05)(3)solitude data:analysis of scores among T0T1T3shows that, there is no significant difference between T0and T1(P>0.05), while the differences between T3and T0、T1are significant (P<0.05). With intervention time putting forward, the decrease level of solitude score is significant (P<0.05) (4) self-esteem data:analysis of scores among T0T1T3shows that, there is no significant difference between T0、T1and T3(P>0.05)(5)BMI data:ANOVA was carried out to analyze difference among T0T1T3, result shows BMI has not decreased with time and exercising stage putting forward, short-term intervention has no abvious effect on BMI of obesity children.(6)the relationships between social anxiety、loneliness、self-esteem BMI and the stages of changeThe changes of denial scary、social withdraw and annoyance loneliness and self-esteem have significant differences between the change of stages(P<0.05),that is to say, the higher the stage, the lower denial scary、social withdraw and annoyance and higher self-esteem; while the change of BMI between the change of stage has no significant(P>0.05), in other word, short-time intervention has no obvious effect on BMI change.Conclusions1. In terms of the proportion of exercising and weight control, most of obesity children are in the precontemplation、 contemplation and preparation stages, few of them in action and maintenance stages; with a weaker awareness of weight control by physical exercise2. TTM intervention mode can alleviate children’s social anxiety and solitude.3. Intervention can push forward the stages of change process on exercising. 4.
