Research On The Mechanisms Of The Medical Food With Function Of Tonifying Kidney And Strengthening Yang To The Treatment Of Discoeenic Low Back Pain

Objective: This thesis aims at making a clear understanding of low back pain, fromthe angle of both TCM and western medicine, and analyzing the mechanisms of themedical food with function of tonifying kidney and strengthening yang to the treatment ofdiscogenic low back pain. And by the clinical research, analyze and sum up the therapeuticeffects of the medical food with function of tonifying kidney and strengthening yang, so asto provide methods and references to the treatment of discogenic low back pain with themedical food of TCM.Method: This thesis takes the method of the combination of document analysis andclinical research. Based on the analysis of the pathogenesis of recent years and after thesystematical study of the basic theory of TCM, this thesis differentiate the mechanism andadvantage of the medical food with function of tonifying kidney and strengthening yang incuring discogenic low back pain. The research selected180patients with discogenic lowback pain from RenJi hospital, XiYuan hospital and Wanhua Hospital of TaiWan, anddivided them into2groups randomly. One of the group was given the routine andconservative treatment, and combined with the medical food with function of tonifyingkidney and strengthening yang. The other (Group2) is only given the routine andconservative treatment. The research uses the M-JOA of Japanese Orthopedic Society tojudge the therapeutic effects, and take advantage of the SPSS13.0software to make thestatistic analysis, so as to get the research results.Results: Both the cure rate and total effective rate of the group with the combinationof routine and conservative treatment and medical food is higher than the group only withroutine and conservative treatment.
