The Relationship Between Amblyopia And Constitution And The Visual Plasticity Of Form Deprivation Amblyopia By Chinese Medicine

Objective: The thought was provided to differentiated therapy of Patients withamblyopia with TCM Differentiated therapy, by clinical investigation on TCMConstitution of Patients with amblyopia. On the experimental study, the visual plasticity ofthe amblyopia cats was proved from microscopic by Shimingbao Granule.Method: Clinical Investigation: Survey of141cases of amblyopia, according to“Association of Chinese Medicine Standard-Chinese constitution classificationcriteria”(ZYYXH/T157-2009), Will be incorporated into the objects was divided intonormal constitution, and qi deficiency, yang deficiency, yin deficiency, phlegm-dampness,damp-heat, blood stasis, qi stagnation and special constitutions, Amblyopia patients wereclassified; Animal experiments: Domestic kittens (4-6weeks)30, Randomly divided intosix groups, five of the normal group, model group, control group, low dose group, middledose group, high dose group. In addition to the normal group, other groups are the lefteyelid model, The application of visual evoked potentials (P-VEP) verify the success of themodeling. Detected by real-time quantitative PCR (real-time PCR) technique to observethe expression of The Shi Bao Ming Granule in the visual cortex glutamate receptors(NMDAR1).Result: The141cases of amblyopia constitution ratio: yin deficiency:26.24%,normalconstitution:22.70%, damp-heat:12.06%,phlegm-dampness:10.64%, yangdeficiency:9.93%,biood stasis:9.93%, Qi deficiency:9.22%. Constitution of male patientswith amblyopia from high to low: normal constitution, Yin deficiency, damp-heat,phlegm-dampness, yang deficiency,Qi deficiency, blood stasis; Constitution of female patients with amblyopia from high to low: Yin deficiency, normal constitution, damp-heat,phlegm-dampness, blood stasis, yang deficiency,Qi deficiency. Refractive amblyopiamostly normal constitution, Yin deficiency and damp-heat; anisometropic amblyopiamostly Yin deficiency and normal constitution; Strabismic amblyopia mostly yangdeficiency. Animal experiment: control group’s expression of NMDAR1was significantlydecreased than normal group’s （P﹤0.05）. The Comparison of high dose group andcontrol group about the amblyopia cats’ left visual cortex area21and right visual cortexarea17was significant （P﹤0.05）. Expression of model group’s NMDAR1wassignificantly decreased than norml group’s （P﹤0.05）. The Comparison of high dosegroup and model group about the amblyopia cats’ left visual cortex area21and rightvisual cortex area17was significant （P﹤0.05）.The comparion of low dose ofirradiation, middle dose group, control group and model group were insignificant.Conclusion: It is Related between TCM Constitution types and Amblyopia’sDisease.And Yin–deficiency constitution, normal constitution, dampness-heatconstitution, phlegm–dampness constitution and Yang–deficiency constitution canInfluence Amblyopia’s Disease significantly. It has certain significance of theprevention of amblyopia. Animal experiment:The expression of Form DeprivationAmblyopia Cats’ NMDAR1at left visual cortex area21and right visual cortex area17wasdecreased. High dosage Shimingbao Granule can improve the Expression Level ofNMDAR1of visual cortex. It is verified that there are some relationship betweenNMDAR1and visual plasticity of the patients with amblyopia. Amblyopia Treatedwith Shimingbao Granule is effective from Microscopic. Shimingbao Granule canimprove visual plasticity.
