ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical effect of“Point pressing”brace treatment for adolescenceidiopathic scoliosis.MethodsThis research via the standardization of the“Point pressing”type of bracetreatment;During in wearing a brace,training back muscle exercise and pulmonaryfunction exercise; observation the notes brace treatment before, wearing a brace and lastfollow-up coronary plane main bending angle Cobb, trunk balance, quality of life(mental health, back pain, functional activity and self image/appearance, treatmentsatisfaction), lung function and other indicators of change; this study from Jan,2008toMar,2011in our hospital,treated96cases of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis andachieved complete data on which the male; in30cases, female66cases; the preliminaryage10-15, an average of13.6+/-2.4years; treatment before the main bending coronalCobb angle of18degrees to36degrees, the average of28.51+/-2.43degrees, allpatients underwent brace treatment and adherence to pulmonary function exercise,observation of brace treatment before wearing a brace, at last follow-up, when the mainbending anglecoronal Cobb, VC (vital capacity), FEV1(the second time vitalcapacity),MVV (maximal voluntary ventilation) measured and accounted for theexpected value of the change of lung function index, analysis the clinical effect of“Point pressing”brace.ResultsAll patients were followed up, the average time form13to38months, an average of25.8 months:1.Main bending angle Cobb changes:" Point pressing " type of brace treatment at thelast follow-up,the main bending angle is16.43+/-10.12, the average correct rate of43.90%, higher than those before treatment has significant difference (P<0.05);2.After wearing braces, during follow-up of patients with truncal balance are improvedobviously, the quality of life of patients (mental health, back pain, functional activityand self image/appearance, treatment satisfaction, etc.) are no obvious effect;3. Comparison the brace before, lung function in brace have varying degrees of decline,there was significant difference (P<0.05); All the patients underwent pulmonaryfunction exercise during patients wearing braces,between the last follow-up ofpulmonary function index and brace treatment before, no significant difference (P>0.05).4.Follow-up,the patients with scoliosis were improved, without severe skin ulceration、movement dysfunction、pulmonary dysfunction complications。ConclusionThe treatment of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis with " Point pressing " type bracecan obtain satisfactory clinical effect, with coronary plane main convex curved Cobbangle, trunk balance and other significant improvement; At the same time on the qualityof life of patients, pulmonary function, without obvious negative effect; Nevertheless,brace treatment need a long time, long-term effect still need further follow-up;...
