Clinical Observation Of Vaginal Douche By Traditional Chinese Medicine With Western Medicine Insert For Recurrent Vulvovaginal Candidiasis

Objective:To observe clinic therapeutic effect of vaginal douche by traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with Western medicine inserted for recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis (RVVC) and to discuss the function mechanism, to provide a theoretical basis for clinical application.Method:The included107cases are randomly divided into three groups, group A includes36cases, which is treated with vaginal douche by traditional Chinese medicine in conjunction with western medicine inserted; Group B includes36cases, which is only treated with vaginal douche by traditional Chinese medicine; Group C includes35cases, which is just treated with western medicine inserted. After the initial treatment and consolidation therapy, the clinical symptoms, the symptom score and the rate of negative-inverted were recorded before and after treatment to judge the curative effect.Results:1. The cure rate was74.3%,42.4%and41.2%respectively in three groups. There was significant difference between group A and B or C (P<0.05), and no significant difference between group B and C (P>0.05). The total effective rate was91.4%,81.8%and79.4%respectively in three groups and no significant difference among them (P>0.05).2. Symptoms were greatly improved in the three groups, and had significant difference before and after treatment (P<0.05). There were significant differences between A and B or C (P<0.05), and not between B and C (P>0.05).3. Local physical signs were significantly reduced in three groups, and had significant difference before and after treatment (P<0.05). The changes in group A were better than B and C, and had significant differences between A and B or C (P<0.05). There were no significant differences between B and C (P>0.05).4.The rate of negative-inverted in three groups respectively was85.7%,54.5%and50.0%. There was significant difference between group A and B or C (P< 0.05), and not between B and C (P>0.05).Conclusion:Clinical studies have shown that the method of vaginal douche by TCM with Western medicine inserted for RVVC is remarkable, and has obvious advantages in improving clinical symptoms, physical signs and the rate of negative-inverted. It can improve the clinical cure rate, and the recurrence rate is low. Vaginal douche acts on channels to regulate the viscera visceral activities, so as to cure disease. The two medicines jointly promote vaginal mucosa to absorb, and make the role of complement each other.
