Objectives: To compare the CTA and DSA in clipped intracranialaneurysms. Methods: patients with clipped intracranial aneurysms werefollowed-up in the neurosurgical department of the first affiliated ofChongqing medical university from feb.2010to Dec.2011, All patientswere diagnosed by CTA or DSA and were all underwent aneurysm clipoperation, all patient were have head CTA and DSA Examination。Twoindependent neuroradiologist analyzed the following data:examinationquality, aneurysm remnant, parent artery occlusion or stenosis, untreatedsmall aneurysm, sensitivity, and specificity were calculated。Results: All of the aneurysms were located in the anteriorcirculation。According to DSA,remnants were found in16%of the casesremnants>2mm were found in8%of the cases, untreated small aneurysmwere found in12%of the cases. sensitivity and specificity of64slice CTAfor the detection of aneurysm remnants were75%and100%,subtractionCTA could detect more remnant than conventional CTA.CTA could detect most of the untreated small aneurysm。Conclusions: CTA is a valuable technique to assess the presence ofsignificant postoperative remnant and untreated small aneurysm in titaniumclip application cases and might be useful for long term follow-up。Subtraction CTA can make CTA more valuable for detect aneurysmremnant。 DSA remains the most accurate postoperative radiologicalexamination...
