Application Of Platelet-rich Plasma In Vagina Reconstruction To Improve The Wound Repair After Using Oral Mucosa Particles:a Clinical Research

Objective:Using vaginal reconstruction surgery with autogenously oral mucosal particle grafting, the postoperative vaginal form is natural; the perinea area is without any surgery traces. But it has postoperative bleeding, healing delay, and else. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is the product of the body and blood after centrifugation. It has been confirmed that PRP contains many growth factors, such as platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor β1(TGF-β1), transforming growth factor β2(TGF-β2), insulin-like growth factor (IGF), epidermal growth factor(EGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)：These growth factors can promote the multifaceted role of cell proliferation, differentiation, chemotaxis, and stimulating vascularization. Our research is to investigate the application of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in vagina reconstruction to improve the wound repair after using oral mucosa particles.Methods:From March2011to September2011, we had7cases of congenital absence of vagina enroll into the experiment group. We Sprayed the PRP on the oral mucosa particles after vaginal reconstruction. And we reviewed7cases of congenital absence of vagina enroll into the control group. We discharged only to the oral mucosa particles free grafting vaginal reconstruction. Finally, the adverse reactions and wound healing were compared between the two groups.Results:All14patients were followed up for3to12months. All the wound was healed when the follow-up period completed, and no complication occurrence. The completely healing days in PRP group was1.57days, shorter than the control group. And the friction hemorrhage in PRP group was obviously reduced. It was showed no significant deviation occurrence from postoperative friction blood and no vagina not heal.Conclusion:Using the PRP sprayed on the oral mucosa particles after vaginal reconstruction can speed up the healing of wound and with no adverse effect increased to the body, shorten the completely healing days, improved postoperative friction hemorrhage, no local inflammatory response, and did not cause the spread of disease and immune rejection. Platelet-rich plasma is worth the plastic surgeon choosing and using.
