Objective:To study a new method, which be used to choose the incisions of thoracic surgicaloperation with robot with the three-dimensional reconstruction techniques. Methods:The studied in the first part, we used the three-dimensional reconstructiontechniques to reconstruct the chest CT of patients, with the sofeware OSIRIX designedby APPLE. We find a clear tumor location, size and relationship with the vein andartery. According to the guide of robotic surgery operating system, the location of theincision can be made on the computer before. To make sure the incisions is reasonablefor surgery, we measure the distance between all the incisions. In the second part of thestudied, we used the method to clinical cases, and recorded the operation time, set uptime and work time. Then, all the data was compared with the literature`s report.Discuss the practical value of the three-dimensional reconstruction techniques in roboticsurgery, as well as its development. Results:In the first part of the studied, we succeed in using the three-dimensionalreconstruction techniques to choose the incisions of robotic surgery. And in the secondpart of the studied, we used it for four cases. The tumors of cases were at differentposition, and the density of them was also different. In the three-dimensionalreconstruction images, all of them were successfully found, and could make incisionreasonably. All of cases were succed in operation, so this method can be simple and fastto determine the surgical incision, and effectively reduce the operation time, andprovide appropriate vision. Conclusion:This method can show the location of tumer and relationship between tumer andartery to the surgeon. In addition, surgeons can use this method to select the surgicalincisions, with the requirements of the robotic surgery. We think this method is simpleand useful in speeding operation up and reducing the set up time. The three-dimensionalreconstruction technology can assisted robotic surgery, especially in complex one. However, the cases of this subject is limited, we should increase the numbers of caseand get more date.
