A Research For The TCM Constitution Of Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Objective:Constitution is important pattern of manifestation of human being, and nature of disease and the process depends on the constitution character of the ill body. Epidemiological method was used to analyze the TCM constitution distribution in irritable bowel syndrome disease groups. Explore the relationship between TCM constitution types and age.gastroscope check results and syndrome differentiation. we can provide the scientific evidence to prevent and cure irritable bowel syndrome through this research.Method:Survey crowd:Information of the patients who have been diagnosed irritable bowel syndrome through Rome Ⅲ standard by JiangSu Province Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, were collected for retrospective analysis.Investigation content:Made the 《TCM Constitution and TCM differentiation of Irritable bowel syndrome Questionnaire》 which was based on the TCM constitution scale which created by Professor Qi Wang. The TCM constitution types includes Ping-he zhi、Qi xu zhi、Yang xu zhi、Yin xu zhi、Yu xue zhi、Tan shi zhi、Shi re zhi、Qi yu zhi、Te bing zhi、The TCM differentiation types includes Gan yu qi zhi zheng、Gan qi cheng pi zheng、Pi wei xu ruo zheng、Han re jia za zheng and Da chang zao re zheng. Information collection included the genaral state of health、 the TCM Constitution types and the TCM differentiation.Implementation method:For the IBS group,The 《Questionnaire》 were gave to the irritable bowel syndrome patients to fill in and collected on the spot, and the data of the control group came from the Medical center of Jiangsu province hospital of TCM.120cases were collected in the IBS group and120cases in the control group that were screening with the frequency match of age.T-test was used to analyze this two groups’average age, P>0.05, and it revealed that the comparability between this two groups have no statistical significance difference.The research used T-test、 Chi-square and so on.Result:Chi—square test was used to analyze the TCM constitution types ratio between two groups and the result was P<0.05. The ratio of constitution types in IBS group is Yang xu zhi>Qi xu zhi>Shi re zhi>Qi yu zhi.After t-test, the score of Ping he zhi Qi xu zhi Yang xu zhi、Shi re zhi and Qi yu zhi between two groups resulted that P<0.05. The score arranging in rows is Ping he zhi>Shi re zhi>Qi yu zhi> Yang xu zhi.The ratio sequence of TCM differentiation types in IBS group was Pi wei xu ruo zheng>I Ian re jia za zheng>Gan yu qi zhi zheng>Da chang zao re zheng>Gan qi cheng pi zheng.Chi-square test was used to analyze the TCM differentiation of four major TCM constitution types, and the result was P<0.05.Conclusion:1. Statistic difference of TCM Constitution ratio was confirmed between the control group and the IBS group.2. Yang xu zhi、Qi xu zhi、Shi re zhi、Qi yu zhi were the main TCM constitution in IBS group.3. There is some relationship between the TCM constitution and TCM differentiation.
