Objective To observe the effct of protecting the liver cells, resistance to hepatic fibrosis, resistance to the antivirus and improving the clinical symptoms in patients with chronic hepatitis B treating by the mixture Yang Gan Ao Ping joint lamivudine (he pu ding). To provide basis for clinical statistics for the treatment of the mixture Yang Gan Ao Ping to chronic hepatitis. Methods The treatment group,28people. The control group,27people. Both groups give foundation treatment. The treatment group in the foundation treatment combined with he pu ding and the mixture Yang Gan Ao Ping(Composed by oriental wormwood, angelica, moutan bark,gamene,phoenix-tail fern, oldenlandia diffusa, root of common peony, radix curcumae and so on). The control group in the foundation treatment combined with he pu ding100mg, once per day. Treatment for all six months. To observe the changes of clinical symptoms and serologic index before and after treatment. Results Though the comprehensive effect of two groups are compared with no significant differences, but the effective cases of the treatment group is significantly higher than the control group. The liver function indexes in alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),and hyaluronic acid (HA),type Ⅲ procollagen(PCⅢ) of the treatment group decline obviously after treatment compared with before. There is significant differences in statistics (P<0.05). There are no significant differences on the level of the liver function(ALT,AST)of the control group between before treatment and after treatment. But there are significant differences of liver fibrosis indexes(HA,PCⅢ)of the control group between before treatment and after treatment. The treatment group significantly better than the control group in protecting liver enzymes and resistance down liver fibrosis. Both groups are able to make the HBV DNA value decreased significantly and make the portion of the HBV DNA (hepatitis B virus desoxyribonucleic acid) overcast. Both groups also can significantly reduce the hepatitis B virus replication level and improve the serum virology index of patients. We make a comparison by t test between the two groups after the treatment that the treatment group is more significant than the control group in HBV DNA negative conversion rate(p<0.05).It is explained that the treatment group is better than the control group in the antiviral effect. Both two groups have no effect in HBsAg (hepatitis b surface antigen), HBeAg (hepatitis b e antigen) overcast. Classify quantization index of abdominal distension, bitter taste, hypochondriac pain of the treatment group decline obviously after treatment compared with before. There is significant differences in statistics (P<0.05). Classify quantization index of abdominal distension, bitter taste, hypochondriac pain of the control group have no decline after treatment compared with before. It is explained that the pmprovement of clinical symptom of the treatment group is better than that of the control group. Conclusion The treatment group which is combined traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine treatment is better than the control group in improving the clinical symptoms, protecting liver function, resistance to hepatic fibrosis, restraining the replication of hepatitis B virus.
