Objective To study rats intraocular pressure in artificial long light environment and application of traditional Chinese medicine theory of Yin-Yang clock intervention.Methods Experiment1:40SD rats (male and female) were randomly divided into8groups, n=5. Group1was male natural light group; Group2was male pure long photoperiod group; Group3was male long light and Chinese herbs intervention group (22:00served yin drug,10:00served yang drug); Group4was male long light and Chinese medicine intervention (10:00served yin drug,22:00served yang drug); the last group were the corresponding5,6,7,8female; every3hours measured intraocular pressure of the8weeks rats for48hours.Experiment2:34female SD rats were randomly divided into4groups, Group1was natural light group; Group2was24h per day artificial light continued for16weeks group; Group3was24h per day artificial light continued for12weeks and natural light for4weeks group; Group4was24h per day artificial light continued for16weeks and Chinese herbs intervention at week12-16group. Every3hours measured intraocular pressure of rats at the12week and the16week for24hours.Results Experiment1:1.1IOP peak point of long light rats in time earlier than the normal control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);group3after the herbs intervention the majority of males rats return to the normal IOP peak time, with the light group was significantly (P<0.05) while group4was no statistically significantly(P>0.05); female medicine intervention group than in the light was no significant difference between groups (P>0.05)1.2IOPĀ·general decline in long light rats, compared with the normal group significantly (P<0.05) Chinese intervention in the valley and the average of the male rats IOP has a certain influence (P<0.05). Experiment2:2.1the fluctuate of IOP about24h light female rats more smooth than the normal control group, the difference was statistically significant;2.2IOP valley point of24h light female rats in time different with that of the normal control group, the point of Chinese medicine group is the same with group1.Conclusion Experiment1:long artificial light has some influence on peak point time of rat IOP and the value.Application of traditional Chinese medicine theory of Yin-Yang clock to timely regulate Yin and Yang has certain intervention effect on The change. Experiment2:24h artificial light per day has some influence on the fluctuate of the IOP about female rats and the valley point time.Application of traditional Chinese medicine theory of Yin-Yang clock to timely regulate Yin and Yang has certain intervention effect on The change.
