The Clinical Research Of Invigorating Spleen And Resolving Stasis Combined With Chemotherapy In The Treatment Of Advanced Gastric Cancer

Objective:To observe the effect of the decoction of invigorating Spleen and Resolving Stasis in combination with chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer on tumor regression, quality of life, karnofsky score, symptoms and signs, the impact of tumor markers and the side effects of chemotherapy. At the same time, patients’indicators before and after treatment of liver and kidney function and blood system were compared. Clinical efficacy and safety of the decoction of invigorating Spleen and Resolving Stasis were assessed.Methods:40cases who have been diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer were divided into two groups,20cases in the treatment group while the other20cases in the control group. Control group was treated with scheme of PS(paclitaxel and TS-1) or OS(oxaliplatin and TS-1). The chemotherapy has carried out for2cycles,6weeks in all.The treatment group were treated with the decoction of invigorating Spleen and Resolving Stasis in combination with chemotherapy.The Prescription of TCM was made one potion a day with the dose to300ml and was given to cases twice daily.Results:There is no significant difference between two groups on the objective response rate and decreasing the tumor markers CEA, CA199values(P>0.05). Neither is on improving abdominal pain and loose stools symptoms. But fatigue and anorexia on the patients of treatment group were alleviated, quality of life improved, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea reduced. There is statistically significant difference between two groups on chemotherapy adverse reactions (P<0.05).Conclusion:The decoction of invigorating Spleen and Resolving Stasis in combination with chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer could effectively relieve parts of the clinical symptoms, improve the general status, improve the quality of life and reduce the adverse reaction of chemotherapy. So we think this decoction could be well tolerated and safety. the advanced gastric carcinoma patients would be benefit from the decoction of invigorating Spleen and Resolving Stasis.
