Objective:This study is to observe clinical efficacy of Yiqiliangxue and Jieduhuayu method for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C, by comparing this method with the therapy of pegylated interferon combined with ribavirin, to get the evaluation of long-term efficacy and safety with Yiqiliangxue and Jieduhuayu treatment for chronic hepatitis C,and to weigh this therapy’s role in slowing chronic hepatitis C disease progress. Methods:In this study parallel controlled approach was used. According to standard we selected53patients with chronic hepatitis C patients, with27cases in treatment group, and control group26cases. The treatment group received Yiqiliangxue and Jieduhuayu law recipe of Chinese medicine treatment, while the control group were given pegylated interferon and ribavirin. Treatment was for48weeks. Patients were observed before treatment and after12weeks of clinical symptoms and signs of the end of treatment, the symptom score, quantitative hepatitis C virus (HCV-RNA), liver function, changes in liver and spleen B-and safety indicators, to compare the two different therapies.Results:1. The treatment group,3cases were lost and fall off, the control group had two cases of loss due to adverse events, without removing case. Total of53patients completed48weeks of treatment,27cases in treatment group, control group26cases.2. Completed48weeks of comprehensive therapeutic effect of treatment group compared with the efficiency of the treatment group and the total effective rate was25.9%and66.7%, respectively, the control group was effective and total effective rates were30.8%and80.8%, both markedly and the total effective There were no significant differences (p>0.05).3. After12weeks of treatment were compared virologic response (EVR), compare the treatment group and control group of early complete response rate of p<0.05statistically significant, but the two sets of early response and partial response was no significant difference. After48weeks of treatment were compared virologic response (EVR) after the end of the treatment group and control group, complete response rate of p<0.01, significant difference, the overall response rate, there is statistical difference (p<0.05). but part of the response in the two groups no statistically significant difference.4. Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome after48weeks of treatment effects, the treatment group was the total effective rates were29.2%and77.5%in the control group was and the total efficiency of5.0%and50.0%. respectively, two sets of significant efficiency and total efficiencythere was a significant difference (p<0.01). Syndrome score, TCM treatment group, anorexia, fatigue, hypochondriac pain, dry mouth, bitter improvement of symptoms called Western medicine control group (P<0.01).5. After48weeks of treatment, the treatment group and control group in the ALT and of AST compared with before treatment were significantly improved (P<0.01), and the two do not have the difference (p>0.05). Portal vein diameter before and after treatment, the treatment group and control group were improved (P<0.05). No statistically significant difference (P>0.05).6. The relationship of the efficacy of12weeks and48weeks of treatment in the two groups in liver function, symptom integral, HCV-RNA logarithmic reflect the long-term treatment more effective than short-term treatment (P<0.01). Taken to different treatment and different treatment combinations of symptoms points to improve a combination of traditional Chinese medicine a long course of the best (P<0.01), HCV-RNA logarithmic improvement western medicine combination of a long course of optimal (P<0.01), and improve liver function had no significant difference (p>0.05).Conclusion:This study found that Yiqiliangxue and Jieduhuayu method for long-term treatment of chronic hepatitis C effects of its symptoms significantly better than western medicine group, in particular, liver stagnation and spleen deficiency symptoms improved group. And the Chinese intervention in the anti-virus has some efficacy in the treatment of early and end with the western part of the response was no significant difference in ALT and AST can significantly reduce the level, to reduce liver damage. In this study,48weeks of treatment compared with the12-week results of the intervention shows symptoms of long-term efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine, the virus titer and the liver function was better than short-term treatment. In addition, the liver and spleen law stasis nursed back to health with good clinical safety of contraceptives, use features such as in the testing process and test no significant drug-related adverse events, Therefore, this treatment is worthy of promotion.
