The Efficacy Of Contrast Of PKP To Fresh OVCF Through Unilateral And Bilateral Pedicle And The Related Causes Of Rerfacture

Objective： To investigate the clinical efficacys of the treatment of freshosteoporotic vertebral compression fractures by the unilateral or bilateral percutaneouskyphoplasty and to analyze the causes of refracture.Methods： We retrospectivelyanalyzed63patients (169vertebrae) with fresh osteoporotic vertebral compressionfractures in January2010to January2012, the Lanzhou Military Region, UrumqiGeneral Hospital orthopedic center and the63patients were followed up for a mean of10.5months. The patients were divided into unilateral and bilateral percutaneouspunctured groups.The operation time, bleeding, radiation times,cement quantity,visualanalogue scale, oswsetry disability indexes,recovery of the fractured vertebrae heightand the local kyphotic angle of the two groups were evaluated and their clinical effectswere compared and we made an analysis of refreature between fracture and nonfracturesubgroups.Results：The operation time,bleeding, radiation times and the cement quanlitywere significant different (P<0.05)between groups.However,we found both groups greatlyimpoving its visual analogue scale and oswsetry disability indexes after operation weresignificant different(P<0.05).The fracture vertebrae height and the local kyphotic anglewere minized(P<0.05).All patients had no increasing pain during post operation.Therewere no sigicant differences between two groups(P>0.05)databases.Compared withfracture and nonfracture subgroup, new fractures occur in elderly patients, the bigger localkyphosis angle.Conclusion： Either unilateral or bilateral PKP could treat OVCFsefficiently.However there are some advanced in the unilateral puncture group,such asshorter operation time and less injury and so on.Refracture occur in elderly and owing alarge LKA patients.
