Objective: The aim of the study is evaluate the relationship of blood glucosefluctuation and diabetic peripheral neuropathy in patients with type2diabetes (T2DM).Methods:156patients aged40to65year with T2DM were selected in Department ofEndocrinology Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January2010to July2011, and divided into diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DNP) group andnomal group(N-DNP). All of them underwent continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS) and nervous system inspecting, we observed the indexes of blood glucosefluctuation and EMG testing, analyzed the relation between the two groups. Results:1.compared various clinical index of Baseline data, the two groups were no significantdifference P>0.05.2. Beside amplitude vibration of posterior tibial nerve, other idexes ofthe two groups there were significant differences in other idexes between two groups.3.MAGE(days average blood sugar fluctuations), MODD(day blood sugar average absolutedifference), CV(blood glucose fluctuation coefficient), LAGE (maximum blood sugarfluctuations), the high blood glucose ratio>11.1, the high blood glucose ratio>7.8, the timeof hypoglycemia<3.9, and the Postprandial2hour glucose of dinner of the two groupshave statistically difference (P<0.05).4. The MAGE were significantly different betweenthe two groups (2=4.38P=0.036).5. The HbA1c of the two groups were significantlydifferent (2=5.710, P=0.017).6. The logistic regression analysis showed that age,HbA1c, MAGE, were the risk factors of diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Conclusion: age, level of glycemic and blood glucose controlled have a certain correlation with the diabeticperipheral neuropathy, strict control of blood glucose, reduce blood glucose fluctuationsmight prevent the diabetes peripheral nerve complications of happen or development.
