Abstract:Objective:The study aimed to compare the effect of Plus and Minus Daqinjiaotang combined Western medicine and Western medicine. Methods:Based on the western standard treatment, the test was designed randomized and controlled methods and studied the effect of Daqinjiaotang treatment of acute cerebral infarction with wind heat stasis and closed blocking the meridians, in order to research the changes in scales of Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome(TCMS) and neurological function.Reviewed the books and literatures of ancient Chinese medicine and modern medicine, understood the stroke pathogenesis, pathophysiology, prevention, present treatment status and the the experimental study of ischemic stroke, a comprehensive review was written firstly.80cases of acute cerebral infarction were selected from ward of Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May2009to October2011by using prospective, randomized and controlled study. These patients were randomly divided into the the Daqinjiaotang group (Western medicine treatment+Plus and Minus Daqinjiaotang) and Western medicine treatment group.Compared the efficacy of Daqinjiaotang group and Western medicine treatment group th rough the factors of TCM symptoms, severity, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS score), The Rankin Scale For Stroke Disability(Rankin score), fatality.Results:(1) patients’living conditions:There are no differences of patients’ living conditions between the Daqinjiaotang group and Western medicine treatment group on7,14,28days and3,6months after the onset of disease.(2) the main TCM symptoms and signs scales:Compared the main TCM symptoms and signs scores pro-treatment with pos-treatment on7or14days within Daqinjiaotang group, it has a significant difference in the improvement of TCM symptom scores (P<0.01). There is also a significant difference in the improvement of TCM symptom scores by compared pro-treatment with pos-treatment within Western medicine control group on7or14days (P<0.01).There is no significant difference in the improvement of TCM symptom scores compared Daqinjiaotang group with Western medicine control group on7days (P>0.05). But there is significant difference in it between Daqinjiaotang group and Western medicine control group on14days (P<0.01).It showed that the efficacy in improving TCM symptom scores was better in Daqinjiaotang group than Western medicine control group on14days, but it did not show any differences in two groups on7days.(3)Rankin Rating: There is a significantly statistical difference in Rankin Rating compared it in pro-treatment with pos-treatment on28days and3months both Daqinjiaotang group and Western medicine control group(P<0.01). But there is no significant difference of Rankin Rating in pro-treatment with pos-treatment on28days and3months in Daqinjiaotang group compared with Western medicine control group(P>0.05). It showed that both Daqinjiaotang and Western medicine can improve the Rank Rating clearly. But there is no difference in the efficacy of improving Rankin rating between two methods.(4) NIHSS score: There is a significantly statistical difference in NIHSS scores compared pro-treatment with pos-treatment on7,14,28days in individual Daqinjiaotang group and Western medicine control group(P<0.01), which showed both methods can greatly improve the neurologic disability. But there is no difference of NIHSS in pro-treatment and pos-treatment on7,14,28days in Daqinjiaotang group compared with Western medicine control group(P>0.05). It showed that there is no difference in the efficacy of improving neurologic disability between two methods.(5) TCM symptoms:The treatment effective rate was87.5%on14days in Daqinjiaotang group, while it was66.7%in Western medicine group. There was significant difference in treatment effective rate compared with two groups (P<0.05), which showed Daqinjiaotang has a better efficient than pure Western medicine.Conclusion:(1) The mortality of patients with acute cerebral infarction treated by Daqinjiaotang was no less than Western standard treatment;(2) the Daqinjiaotang has the better efficacy in improving TCM symptoms than Western medicine treatment on14days;(3) Both Daqinjiaotang and western medicine could significantly improve the patient’s disability degree, but there was no difference in two groups;(4) The Daqinjiaotang has the similar efficacy to western medicine in improving the patients’ neurological deficit of acute cerebral infarction;Combined the clinical findings and experience, Daqinjiaotang has clearly improved the TCM symptoms in treating the acute cerebral infarction, and improved the patients’ life qualities.
