Objective:To explore the role of bacterial inflammation on the opoptosis and proliferation of prostetic cells, through investigating the expression of IL-2、IFN-γ、Bcl-2and Bax in the prostate. Methods:After building the mouse model of bacterial prostatitis, the prostate tissues were collected in4days and2weeks. The expression of IL-2、IFN-γ、Bcl-2and Bax in the prostate tissue were detected by using Immunohistochemical techniques. The data were derived by using computer image analysis system (Image-Pro Plus6.0) to measure the mean optical density (MOD) of the positive region. The data were statistically analyzed with the SPSS15.0software.Results:The expression of IL-2、IFN-γ、Bcl-2in prostate of bacterial prostatitis mouse was significantly higher than that in the control group, but the expression of them in prostate of bacterial prostatitis mouse has no significant differences between4days group and2weeks group. The expression of Bax has no significant differences in all the group of prostate. Conclusions:In the prostate tissue of bacterial prostatitis mouse, the expression of IL-2and IFN-y was enhanced, which cuold improve the proliferation of the prostatic cells; at the same time, the expression of Bcl-2was enhanced and the expression of Bax had no significant change, which increased the Bcl-2and Bax ratio, could inhabit the poptosis of the prostatic cells. It imply that the bacterial inflammation of prostate may play an important role in the progress of BPH.
