OBJECTIVEBy far, the mechanism of pancreatic cancer (PC) has not been amply elucidated, which directly affects the early diagnosis and chemotherapy. This experiment aims to test the expression of PLCε1and Bcl-2in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues, identify PLCsl’s expressions in PC and investigate how PLCε1and Bcl-2are related to the clinical characteristics of PC, and the potential connections between the two proteins.METHODSS-P immunohistochemial staining was used to test expression of PLCsl and Bcl-2in46human pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues and11normal pancreatic tissues.RESULTS1. Compared to pancreatic normal tissues, the expression of PLCε1and Bcl-2are up-regulated in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues(P<0.05). And the positive rate of PLCε1and Bcl-2are82.6%(38/46) and84.8%(39/46), respectively.2. The expression of PLCε1and Bcl-2in tumor tissues from which the patients had metastasis, at least lymph node metastasis, are stronger than that in the tissue without metastasis(P<0.05).3. Each expressive extent of PLCε1and Bcl-2in tumor tissues is different in tumor-size groups(P<0.05) and in metastatic or not groups(P<0.05).4. There is a positive correlation between the expressive extent of PLCε1and Bcl-2, R=0.551, P<0.05.CONCLUSION1. More PLCε1is expressed in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues than that in normal pancreatic tissues. 2. PLCε1and Bcl-2maybe involved with metastasis and growth of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.3. There is a positive correlation between the expressive extent of PLCε1and Bcl-2.
