Clinical Research Of The Effects On Islet β-celi Function In Type2Diabetes With The Therapy Of Nourishing Yin And Clearing Heat

Objective:This study was designed to observe the effects on islet β-cell function intype2diabetes with the therapy of nourishing yin and clearing heat,and to furtherexplore its mechanism,in order to provide reliable clinical application basis.Methods:50cases of type2diabetes patients were randomly divided into twogroups.25cases in traditional Chinese medicine combined with modern medicine treatmentgroup were treated with Yangyin Qingre Jiangtang recipe,which consisted of nourishingyin and clearing heat Chinese herbs,and modern medicines which fitted each patient,andother25cases in modern medicine treatment group were only treated with modernmedicine.Both groups were treated12weeks for one course of treatment.Before and aftertreatment,patients of the two groups were respectively observed with symptoms，fastingplasma glucose(FPG), postprandial2hours plasma glucose(2hPG),glycosylatedhemoglobin(HbA1c),fasting insulin(FINS),postprandial30minutesinsulin(0.5hINS),triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),high density lipoprotein(HDL),lowdensity lipoprotein(LDL), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(hs-CRP),body massindex(BMI),insulin secretion index(HOMA-),early insulin secretion index(EISI) andinsulin resistance index(HOMA-IR).To do blood routine,urine routine,feces routine as wellas liver and kidney function tests before and after treatment and statistical analysis todetermine drug efficacy and safety. Results:The Yangyin Qingre Jiangtang recipe can improve the symptoms,reduceFPG,2hPG,HbA1c,FINS,TG,hs-CRP,BMI and HOMA-IR，and increase HOMA-andEISI.There was no significant difference of blood routine，urine routine，feces routine aswell as liver and kidney function tests before and after the treatment.The therapy has goodefficacy and safety.Conclusion:The therapy of nourishing yin and clearing heat can improve clinicalsymptoms,islet β-cell function,the blood glucose and lipide metabolism disorder as well asinsulin sensitivity.It has good therapeutic effects and is worth further study and clinicalapplication.
