Objective: To arrange the relevant ancient literatures, constructPathogenesis-signs-agent system, and evaluate the efficacy and safety of InvigoratingKidney-qi Therapy for the Kidney-qi Deficiency Syndrome in Hypertension.Method:1. Through the arranging of the ancient literature and deep excavationanalysis of the various periods of the major essays and physician views, analyze theprogress of medical thoughts and unique feature.Its contents related to kidney deficiencysyndrome, etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, medicationcharacteristics, and prevention of nursing.Establish perfect Pathogenesis-signs-agentsystem.2. Retrieve the literatures of randomized controlled trials(RCT) published on thebiological medical journals between1989and2010about Invigorating Kidney-qi Therapyfor the Kidney-qi Deficiency Syndrome in Hypertension, select the eligible researches, anduse RevMan software to analyse the results of Heterogeneity test, Meta-analysis, Funnelanalysis, Sensitivity analysis.3.Analysis related records,discuss the clinical efficacy ofInvigorating Kidney-qi Therapy.Results:1. Extensive collection of ancient literature, and successfully constructed thePathogenesis-signs-agent of the system, provide a useful reference for the clinicaltreatment.2.5RCTs were included, the Jadad grading of all studies are lower than3scores.Meta-analysis indicated that the Relative Risk (RR) and95%confidenceinterval (CI) of thecombined effects of antihypertensive efficacy evaluation are2.12[1.27，3.54], RR and 95%CI of Clinical evaluation of symptoms combined effect are1.25[1.13，1.39]. Noadverse reactions was reported.3.Clinical dialectical therapy can receive good treatment.Conclusion: Pathogenesis-signs-agent System and the systematic reviews all haveshown that Invigorating Kidney-qi Therapy is effective for the Kidney-qi DeficiencySyndrome in Hypertension.
