Objective: Comparing splint external fixation, external fixation and openingreduction and internal fixation with T type titanium plate of three different treatmentmethods in Barton fracture treatment in clinical efficacy and selection of application.Method: From the orthopaedics in Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University ofTraditional Chinese Medicine during2010March~2011December, using splint externalfixation, external fixation and internal fixation with T type titanium plate fixed in Bartonfractures in35cases, From the time of fracture healing, the anatomy of the wrist jointassessment and wrist joint function compared and analyzed the three fixation methods.Result: The excellent and good rate of wrist joint anatomical assessment in group A,Band C was41.67%,81.82%,91.67%respectively after one month. The excellent and goodrates of wrist function assessment in group A、B and C was50.00%、90.91%、91.67%respectively after three months. Statistical analysis: The assessment of wrist functionexcellent rate of splint external fixation group were less than the other twogroups(P<0.05), there was no significant difference between group B and groupC(P>O.05).Conclusion: External fixation and opening reduction and internal fixation with T typetitanium plate fixed in Barton fracture were achieved good results; Opening reduction andinternal fixation with T type titanium plate fixed to the fracture to achieve anatomicreduction and maintain stable fixed of wrist joint, to reduce the late complications, earlyfunctional exercise, to be the clinical treatment of Barton fractures of ideal method.
