Reason And Multivariate Analysis For Poor Asthma Control In Children

Objectives To investigate the related factors of children with poor asthma control, in order to induct the valid treatment in clinic.Methods246cases were collected in pediatric outpatient of The Affilicated Provincial Hospital of Anhui Medical University from Dec.2010to Dec.2011. Age between1to14years old,158boys and88girls,146cases were assigned into over3years old group and100others into infantile group.132cases for poor asthma control, and114cases for good asthma control. Then the investigation was carried out using a questionnaire in order to find the relative factors among children with poor asthma control. First, we analyse each factor with Logistic One-way analysis of variance, result with P<0.05shows statistical significance. Then we analyse all the factors which have statistical significance by multi-factor Logistic Regression. The data were arranged and analyzed with SPSS19.0software.Results Gender, age group, diagnostic error, rest have no statistical significance in poor asthma control. The others factors have statistical significance.Conclusions Non-compliance, combined with other diseases, persistence of allergen induced asthma factor, predisposing factor, improper inhalation method are the reasons for poor asthma control in children. Improvement and avoidance these risk factors, control the risk factors is very important to good asthma control in children.
