Abstract/Summary:
Chinese traditional medicine injection is one of current clinical forms commonly used, that is generally considered with fast onset, mild effect, less adverse reaction, reliable curative effect. However, adverse reactions have occurred from time to time after intravenous injection of traditional Chinese medicine injections. The studies of existing literature were mostly aimed at the drug itself while rarely disposable infusion device was studied that is essential for intravenous injection, even less the study of the adsorption effect of traditional Chinese medicine injection. Disposable infusion device is a kind of polymeric material’s infusion apparatus, with adsorption for certain drug. Clinically, as a drug treatment effect is not good, compatibility with other drug is need to reach a better therapeutic effect. In clinical transfusion, when infusion of a drug is finished, transfusion bottle is directly replaced without replacement of the infusion device. If the infusion device has certain adsorption for traditional Chinese medicine injections, it is possible that the drug adsorbed react with new injections of the drug, which result to the adverse consequences. Therefore, this experiment carried on research on the aspects in order to reduce adverse drug compatibility phenomenon, and to improve the reference for clinical rational drug use. This experiment selected clinically commonly used Chinese medicine injection used in cardiovascular system, including Danshen injection [dry], Xiangdan injection, Yinxingdamo injection and so on, as the research object, to observe whether disposable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) infusion had adsorption with these Chinese medicine injection. The experimental method mimiced clinical intravenous infusion. The drug was prepared according to the drug usage of the manual, and then was injected into the disposable infusion apparatus for immersion. After a certain period of time, soaking liquid was released. Then the infusion device was flushed and soaked with5%glucose or0.9%sodium chloride solution. The liquid flowed was collected at different time points which was prepared according to certain concentration, and whose absorbance value was determinated by UV spectrophotometer. According to the absorbance value, whether the infusion tube had adsorption for the drug was judged. In order to ensure the reliability of the conclusion, this experiment also used glass infusion device as the control, respectively in the light and dark. Through the comparison of absorbance value and ultraviolet spectroscopy of the liquid in infusion device in different conditions, the reliability of the results were determined. The experimental results shown that disposable PVC infusion device had no adsorption for test drugs in the light and dark conditions, with little difference in the comparison with the glass infusion device. Therefore, the disposable transfusion device had no obvious adsorption for Shuxuening injection, Danshen injection [dry], Yinxingdamo injection and Xiangdan injection.
